Good idea, not perfect,

First off, the model that I got came w/ a spring-loaded self-retract circular thingy instead of the coiled cable. That thingy was totally annoying so I removed it by force. Also mine is branded as Mercola although the box/manual says AirCom. Firstly the concept is sound, but radiation now stops at your throat area instead of your ear, so radiation is still there, just being stopped short. Secondly, the ear loop thingy is not very easy to wear & keep in place, it tends to move. The airtube is very rigid & makes scratching noise (right into your ear canal) if you rub it w/ your clothes (which you WILL). Sound quality is acceptable but worse than most wired counterparts. People on the other end seldom complain about sound quality but a minority of them did - mostly that my sound is muffled. I bought & used this for over 1 year but seldom touched it in between cos' wearing the piece is quite cumbersome & unfriendly. But if you're on the phone a lot, then keep this on your ear all day long & you're fine.

Ya know. I was so excited when discovered this headpiece after all I'd read about the potential dangers of cell phone radiation. My room mate and I have now collectively owned four of these. We love it while it's working but THEY DON'T LAST! I'm irritated that it's one I can find available and yet I refuse to purchase another one. Something on each of them always breaks within a few to six months. My current one, which I was being super careful with because I didn't want to break the fragile thing, just stopped working last week. AND, I just found, ALL, not some, but ALL of my friends who've had them had the exact same experience - they fall apart and don't last. Too bad, honestly, because when they're working I'm so grateful for the product. I hope the design and construction is improved and announced. Such a potentially important and useful product deserves to manufactured correctly and available. Meanwhile, I'll keep using my speakerphone setting which is a pain.

Make Sure it Fits Your Phone's Jack,

The rigmarole I've had to go through to get this thing to work has been ridiculous. The 2.5mm plug ended up not fitting in either of my family's cell phones (I bought two of the headsets) so I tried buying adapters. One of them worked; one of them didn't, & with the one that works, the headset is so very soft that I can barely hear the person speaking on the other end--there's no way I can use this in the car. I ordered yet another adapter for the phone that didn't take the first one; have yet to see whether or not it'll even recognize the headset. Please do not buy this if you don't already have a 2.5mm (non-standard) jack in your phone.

I bought one of these headsets because I am on my phone constantly with my real estate job. I absolutely love it. It is adjustable in everyway and feels very secure in my ear. I have owned this for about a year and have totally abused - wadded in my purse, pulled it from the bottom, etc..and it has survived. I highly recommend this product. I think this is a standard jack, it fits my home cordless phone

Mercola Headset - Junk,

This item is also made by [...] - will fall apart after a few months, shortly after the "warranty" expires. Do not buy - junk made in China. Mercola does not stand behind their products.

I wish it worked...but it was actually a load of rubbish,
This review is from: Radiation Free Headset Cellphone Airtube Technology (Health and Beauty)
I read a lot about this product and bought one thinking it would be great for my cell phone. The ear piece NEVER stayed on. It was incredibly uncomfortable. No one could hear me the other end. I tried and tried to get it to work for me, and in the end returned it as it was hopeless.

For the money this piece of junk costs, it should last longer,

I have bought 3 of these, maybe they keep emf out or maybe they don't. It probably cost the manufacturers like 3 dollars to make and we are paying over ten times that. All three broke within a couple of months. It makes no sense b/c the two headsets I bought really cheaply that don't protect against emf, I have had for years. With these, the wire starts to fray or the ear piece breaks or the part that plugs into the phone starts putting forth background noise.Come on, if you want this product to be taken seriously, work out the poor workmanship or if they are not going to do more R and D to get it right, then the product should be sold for no more than ten dollars.

Acceptable...but FRAGILE!,
This review is from: Radiation Free Headset Cellphone Airtube Technology (Health and Beauty)
I have had FIVE of these headsets, and I think I'm pretty much an expert on them as you can be without actually manufacturing them.First, they work pretty much as advertised, but they are incredibly fragile. They have a life span of about 6 months on average for me. You have to try to baby them as much as possible--but there are so many bloody ways they can break...it gets annoying. The call quality is acceptable, a bit tinny, and they don't go very loud, but it works enough for me. They don't stay on your head well either, so you really should be sitting down when you use them, and not say, jogging. Lastly, they are expensive as hell--especially when you're buying 2 a year on average. That said, I will buy another...they SIGNIFICANTLY reduce the radiation that contacts your head, and to me, that makes it worth the unbelievable hassle and cost. If it didn't perform as advertised, I would rate them 1 star. Hopefully, they will continue to improve on the performance and quality and make them a bit more durable.

Blue air tube is too short,

I can hear out of it just fine and it seems better made than others I have had (ie. it hasn't fallen apart), but the blue air tube is too short so the EMF protection is minimal. The air tube needs to be longer.
