Format: Paperback
Well selected topics and details for quick review.Nowadays usual examination pattern in theory is mcq so why it has been written in old style question and answer format is surprising.Authors demonstrate good insight into core knowledge of each topic.

This type of question/answer book is exactly what I was looking for. As a rad onc resident, there have not been any similar books in the past. The format is exactly like previous Recall books I used as a med student. The only criticisms are that there are several errors. For instance, in the Wilms section is asks what subtypes of Wilms tumor exist, but list actually other types of renal tumor types that are not technically Wilms. There are other minor typos throughout, but for a first edition it's not bad. I used this to study for the in service exam this year, and I think was pretty high yield especially for more obscure topics like vulva, ovarian, etc. Can't wait for the 2nd edition!

Great resource for medical students and residents. A must have. I bought the hard copy as a medical student and the kindle version through the ipad app as a resident.

I used this book along with the NCCN guidelines to prepare for my recertification in Radiation Oncology. While too detailed in some areas, especially pediatrics, I found it a great review for my exam. If I had been studying for the boards initially however, this is excellent. Some of the questions were right out of this book!

Well written and thorough. Includes updated staging, mnemonics, planning, and concise reviews of major studies. Question-based format similar to "recall" series. A must-have for residents.

I think this is one of the greatest review books in Radiation Oncology and a must-have by every Rad Onc resident. I was and still a big fan of the "secrets" series and wished there was a "Radiation Oncology Secrets" book. This book is exactly what I was looking for. The question/answer format lays information in a simple way and certainly easier to remember. The content is great and it covers all the basic knowledge for any rad onc resident.

I highly recommend it.

Order arrived in pristine condition and on time. As for the product, overall it is excellent.

Pros: Excellent review source that is well organized by disease site. References all the key studies and rationale for treatment. Has great depth, which is ideal not only for residents but for medical students interested in the field.

Cons: Thick book that can be difficult to carry around at all times. Some disease sites are less represented than others.
