i got the video because my daughter lives 4 states away and i was having a hard time explaining to her everything that was happening to me. what i didn't realize was what a difference watching the video would make for ME before I started treatment--i felt pretty calm when I finally went for my first treatment appointment because i had a pretty good understanding of what was going to happen. (that is not typical of who i am!!)
Also, i found the testimony from the other cancer patients to be really inspirational.

This video was great to help me really get an perspective on what radiation therapy was all about. The whole thing was tough to understand-- simulators, the permanent marks on my breast, was i going to lose my hair, -- i was pretty freaked out to be honest. The doctors gave me some pamphlets to read but it was just tough to grasp all at once. This video help me to feel a whole lot calmer about what to expect

When my mother learned she had breast cancer, we were all in shock as you can imagine. Then, the overwhelming process of trying to understand the treatment options, get our arms around the medical lingo and make the right decisions became an all consuming process. We ordered this video, and it was a huge help to my mother and to us. Our family was able to view the video and really understand what radiation therapy was all about. I highly recommend it.
ps- my mom is doing great!!

For those considering this form of treatment, I would highly recommend this video. It is easy to understand and help me get a much better point of view about if I should undergo RT for my cancer treatment. It answered alot of questions that were pretty scary for me.
It was also a great tool in helping me explain to others what I was going through.
