We saw a game kind of like this in the lobby of the W Hotel in San Francisco and we couldn't put it down. It doesn't always guess right but it is amazing at how many times it does. We have tried some really oddball things to try and stump it, too. It usually sits right next to the remote to the TV and often gets picked up first, by 7 to 67 year olds. Definitely an entertaining little thing, it has paper wheels of pictures to give you ideas of things to have it guess, but you'll think of lots on your own.

The boys (7 & 11) seem to like the toy but they are able to stump it pretty often and I think they are losing interest. Maybe I should have gotten the non junior version but I wanted to avoid stuff that might not be age appropriate. It seems to be very sturdy and well made. Shipping was quick. I think its an ok toy - the 6-8 yrs old folks might find it more entertaining than 10 and over if they are moderately well read.

Our 7-yr-old granddaughter received this as a gift. Because it was not on her wish list, it was received with skepticism. She graciously accepted it, however, and tried it once or twice. I was pleased that she voluntarily came to me later and told me that she really liked the game. Thereafter, I saw her using it frequently. It has helped her as a beginning reader, and it is interesting enough to compete with the many electronic games available to youngsters these days.

I ordered this game, it came as promised. My grandson opened it and it would not turn on. After all else failed I looked in the battery compartment to discover the batteries and casing were corroded. I understand games, cd's etc may sit on the shelf for awhile but they should be checked out before sending them to a paying customer. I was very embarrassed. I've always been very pleased with items purchased through Amazon, but some of the vendors are another story

I remember playing 20 questions as a kid at the dinner table. We had no electronic version at that time, so it was just our family thinking up ideas and interacting together. Kind of corny maybe, but that seems more fun to me than sitting in front of yet one more electronic hand held game with eyes glued to a very small screen.
Overall, my 6 year old liked this game ok. He will pick it up for maybe 10-15 minutes at a time, and then won't use it again for a few weeks, and then will briefly pick it up again. He got this for christmas last year (around 8 months ago) and (although used infrequently) the batteries still work. We have been able to stump the game probably about a third of the time. If you think of a more generic item like "football", the game will likely guess your item. If you think of something specific, like "pokemon", the game will have no idea what you are referring to. It was hard to explain that to my son at first because he kept thinking really specific and was stumping the game each time -- which he found no fun. The game is easy to use, even for younger kids. I'd say even as young as a 4-5 year old could play it with reading help from a grown up. To play, you think of an item and press start. The game starts asking yes/no questions to help identify what you are thinking of...questions like "are you thinking of an animal?", "can the animal run fast?". There is even an "I don't know" button that you can press to skip and ask a different question. Overall, it's not a bad game. It's a nice novelty idea for a stocking stuffer. But I wouldn't pay too much for it.

Just right for my 10-year-old grandson, his young and hip uncles were trying to get it away from him so they could play with it. I also gave it a whirl before I wrapped it, the game is not complicated so it's an instant success. I also like that it's not something he's seen on TV.
