Book Description

August 28, 2003
In the West, most of us have suffered the fear of not being 'good enough', feeling insecure about our appearance, our sexuality, our intelligence, our spiritual progress or - often most importantly - being worthy of love. When these feelings of insufficiency or self-aversion are strong, we fear abandonment and rejection. Many people have already found the Buddhist perspective on our emotional life to be extremely valuable - and this book will be a major practical contribution to the subject.

5.0 out of 5 stars Highly Recommended to anyone in Recovery, October 7, 2010

This review is from: Radical Acceptance: Awakening the Love That Heals Fear and Shame (Hardcover)
This is one of the first books that is not in the addiction section but provides healing and hope for anyone in recovery who believes in acceptance, letting go, and surrendering one day at a time. It is a book that teaches us about viewing ourselves with profound compassion and loving kindness. Although it is not written for the addict, I recommend this to anyone in recovery or not who is ready to love them self and to begin the process of removing judgment and suffering out of their lives. The Law of Sobriety: Attracting Positive Energy for a Powerful Recovery
