I've rented this book from my local library. I'm speechless. This book not only digs into Obama's Socialist life, but others involved. Thank you, Mr. Kurtz for your detective skills displayed in this book. In the near future, I'm going to purchase a copy of this book as a reference guide. They've done injustice to you by barring you from sharing this evidence on the radio.

There's a whopping 73 (Yup, 7 3) pages of resources used to write this book. Get this book before the 2012 elections so you'll understand why it's critical defeat Obama's agenda. It's important to know that it's Obama's socialist philosophies are THE ENEMY!! It's a tough book to read.

Knowing the enemy is tougher than ignoring it, that's why I'm recommending this book!!

This book is extremely well documented with factual research that exposes what should be every American's worst fear - that our POTUS is a radical socialist to the core. The fact that Obama repeatedly lied about his past radical associations is disturbing in the extreme. Obama's goal really is to transform America from it's capitalist roots to pure socialism as fast as he possibly can. It's clear from this book's evidence that he will not moderate ala Bill Clinton, but he will use even more subversive tactics to achieve his end game. This book is scary but MUST reading for thinking Americans.

I wish I could give it ten stars.

I am a conservative Republican and I don't typically find much of interest in the views and lives of our recent Presidents. I've long believed, though, that this President (Obama) is different, that he is an ideologue of the Left, and so I've read about a half dozen of the books that were written both during the 2008 election and after he was inaugurated. If you read one book about President Obama to learn who this man is, though, THIS is the book. Thoroughly researched the Obama he brings forward emerges from the smoke and mirrors he has placed around himself and is shown to be a deeply committed socialist. I've bought and given away some copies for others to read, the information is so vitally important for voters to know and understand this man. I just wish it had been written before 2008.

An excellent chronicling of the various forms of socialism in America over the past 30-ish years, and documents the President's relationships to a number of related organizations. The book starts with the the President's attendance of the Socialist Scholars Conference, but this seems the weakest of the organizational relationships exposed by the book. We're simply left wondering who the President met and spoke with, events that can't be documented. The ACORN expose is much stronger (followed by the Midwest Academy) as it unequivocally links the President to people and ideas that virtually no one is aware of, save the readers of this book and the President himself. If Mr. Kurtz can find and report the documentation, why can't/won't David Gregory or any other newsreader?

The information presented in the book is direct, specific, and (generally) non-punishing and represents a body of information that any voter should consider and decide. A better narrative, leading with the strongest bodies of evidence and using the weaker in support, would make this more accessible to more readers. As an aside, it is one of the more extensively footnoted books I've read outside of a few physics texts.

Stanley Kurtz makes the case that Barack Obama is and always has been a deep dish radical socialist, which is to say, a socialist by ideology and intent, not merely by political osmosis, and that he has thrown up clouds of deception to keep this fact from being known.

By combing through various archives and showing that Obama springs from an essentially hidden socialist network that he has been a part of from his days at Columbia University onward, and right into his presidency, Kurtz proves his case beyond a reasonable doubt.

The "community organizing" theory that drives Obama is, intentionally and by design, a stealthy and deceptive program for implementing socialism from below. Community organizers are practiced at avoiding the use of overt socialist and Marxist concepts, though in their private discussions they revert to those terms. Obama's working relationship with the radical Marxist and one-time bomber of the Pentagon, Bill Ayers, was even deeper and more ideological than what Obama critics thought, and Obama clearly concealed it and lied about it.

Obama's intimate connection with the far left community organizing empire known as ACORN, and the ideological and funding network it belongs to, not only places Obama at the roots of the subprime mortgage crisis that crashed the U.S. economy, it shows him as a central figure in the long-term plan to cause such crises and then take advantage of them to advance more socialism.

These are explosive claims, but Kurtz makes them stick and does so by steadily drawing the reality of Obama's background out of the mist that has obscured it. To say that Kurtz has done the job that American journalists refused to do is an understatement. This is a combination of detective work, investigative reporting, and scholarship that maps the reality that Obama has gone to great pains to deny and conceal.

This is not fast reading, because Kurtz so carefully constructs the book's inferential staircase, but the writing is nonetheless very clear, precise, and straightforward. I took my time with Radical-in-Chief and frequently paused to think about the implications of having a dedicated socialist and Marxist, who is trying to hide that fact, as President of the United States.

Stanley Kurtz is a careful, methodical investigator. In Chicago, while he was examining sources for this book, Obama's supporters tried to block his access to what should have been public records. This is not unusual for information pertaining to Obama. Ask yourself why Obama has not released his college records, medical histories or much else about his past. The mainstream media has been complicit in this concealment by simply not reporting it or seeming to care about Obama's past. It still amazes me how fast the mainstream media was to assign hundreds of reporters to digging up dirt on Sarah Palin as opposed to backgrounding Obama.

My advice is to approach Kurtz's book for what it is: the summary of an investigation into the personal history of a man who convinced a majority of voters to vote for him - once on a national scale.

While there are millions of voters who would have voted for anyone the Dem party put up, there are many millions who, if they had the information Kurtz developed, would have thought twice about casting their vote for this man.

I am not going to recite the contents of the book here. Much of it is already well known to readers of The Wall St. Journal, National Review and other conservative media, including blogs. Suffice it to say that every reference is sourced - any skeptic is free to consult the source materials, though it should be kept in mind how vigorously the attempts were to keep Kurtz away from this material.

Kurtz draws surprisingly few conclusions about Obama himself, but does of necessity, reach conclusions about some of the organizations Obama was involved with, such as the New Party, a shadowy organization that Obama has claimed at various times never existed. Likewise, the relationship between Obama and Rev. Jeremiah Wright is laid out here in chilling detail.

Overall, this is a fascinating book for friends and foes of Obama. Friends might want to find ways to rebut, using whatever verifiable facts they can muster, the points made by Kurtz. Foes will revel in the abundance of material here supporting their belief that Obama is not part of the American mainstream and never has been.

I tend to believe facts and the book contains some disturbing facts that can be verified. I cannot agree with the reviewers that simply put their head in the sand and blame, for example, the Tea Party.
I can't help but believe if this were about Sara Palin or (you pick a name) people like Bonnie would have a review full of wonderful praise for the author.
I have been a registered Independent for 46 years and yes.. I am white, a Vietham era vet., Christain, worked for NASA for many years (life skills and motivation!) but like Juan Williams, I want to have an educated evaluation of all issues. Name calling does not trump verifiable facts, facts contained in this book!

If you care about the USA at all, read this book. When the paperback comes out I plan on purchasing multiple copies, along with two other books, and distribute them as "Patriotic Care Packages" to friends and acquaintances before the 2012 elections so that they understand the actual agenda of Obama (and those who back him). What are those books? In order of suggested reading: "Liberal Fascism" by Jonah Goldberg; "The Shadow Party" by David Horowitz; and this book, "Radical in Chief."

"Liberal Fascism" provides historical context and a peek in the minds and motivations of those who again feel free to refer to themselves as "progressives." "Shadow Party" provides a compelling glimpse into the (I'll call them) "Dr. Evils" pulling the strings of the "new" Democrat Party (most notably George Soros). And then "Radical in Chief" ...

The truly fascinating element of "Radical in Chief" is not so much the expose regarding Obama, though that alone makes it a worthwhile contribution. Rather, it is the insight into the strategies and tactics developed by those who wish to "fundamentally transform the United States of America" after their hoped-for revolution did not occur in the 1960's. This is not hyperbole or speculation -- Stanley Kurtz has unearthed archived documents and in their own words these revolutionaries express their goals, and mechanisms by which they can hobble our economic system from within and create a collapse, which then (they are convinced) will lay the path for the transition phase of socialism, and eventually communism. They intend to do this while leaving the edifices of our country intact -- our Constitution (formally, not functionally), free-market capitalism (again formally, not functionally) -- so that the populace will not recognize what is happening, at least not until it is too late.

Yes there are people who have dedicated their lives to overthrowing our political system. It's hard for Americans to believe this, or to not dismiss such people as a lunatic fringe who will never accomplish anything. Well folks, that lunatic fringe now occupies the White House, pulls the levers of control of the Democrat Party and the AFL-CIO.

Our country faces grave danger. Perhaps our greatest threat ever, for while military aggression is unmistakable and our citizens rally to our defense, what we face now is an internal revolution from within, premised on stealth, subterfuge and economic sabotage disguised as regulatory reform.

Read "Radical in Chief" and you'll see that the parallels to the economic and political sabotage brainstormed by the likes of ACORN and the Midwest Academy are unmistakably (and cannot be coincidentally) incorporated in TARP, stimulus, Dodd-Frank and Obamacare.

Read the book, people. Forget what the opposition says. This is our capitalist country. Not theirs. They (statists) make up maybe 20% of the population, a cult if you will. Stay resolute!!

This book reveals many interesting facts about Obama, I really appreciated. No wonder Obama was so ambiguous of his past; Not clear political record ( as a Senate, he vote over 200 as "no opinion", no visible political records other than community organizer, with his "Sleek Speeches without any substance" made himself to be a president. When he said "change" regular people had no ideas what kind of change. Now he hires many socialist and communist as hid staff, who try to change this nation into communist or socialism ( same role, just different name) not really knowing the truth, just based on some political ideology that human history had repeatedly proved to be failed. In fact communism is the worst political system that ever presented on earth. Because of its brutality, I escaped from that regime. And I am happy to be in this country where human freedom is mostly respected, and protected. Communist lies saying every one shares equally: In fact only, those few comrades who caused the shift of power enjoy the wealth and power, but the rest of the general citizens have no equality nor basic human right. Any one speak against government---disappear next day to "concentration camp" w/o fair trials nor justice. Communist shut down all religious freedom, or freedom of speech ( all medias are government controlled) Communists deny any form of gods but instead, they set the status of Stalin or Ma chiding, or Kimjung ill, and have to sing songs and salute for them, worship them. From elementary children to elders... Anyone dares to go against the government, ---labor camp! 1989, Tinamen square, a million chines college students marched to protest against their communist government of oppression: it was broadcasted all over the world, they were asking communist government to give them ;freedom for speech, freedom of media, business, religion, true-democracy ( not like few communist party people controlling, governing) but by election. Sooner the communist government sent them tanks and guns and indiscriminately shoot them and ran over with tanks. Whole world watched through television broadcast and shocked by their brutality. There is no "equal Justice" like the communist ideologist deceives people. Only "Elite Party Comrades" have the privileges of special health care, food market for themselves only, supply stores for them only, but the rest of the citizens live in dirt poor situation deprived from basic human rights. It's just a power shift from have to have not. Maybe somebody should arrange some "exchange living tourism" between these communist countries and America, Send those "Deceived communism lovers" to live in those communist countries for a year or two years by themselves without any privileges as American, but just as like their citizen, then maybe all these communism, socialism, totalitarian movement in American will learn the true lessons of the reality, and waken up. Also, reading the books by real defects form those communist countries will give real ideas, not just full of bologna, lying ideology (theory) books out there.

Now some ignorant Americans already forgot about this just 20 years ago's brutality that we watched with our own eyes, want to change this great nation into communist?
Please study the real history. I mean the "real history" not just that stupid "ideology of communist". In a word, if you study the true history, communist repeatedly failed last 150 years.
and it's the most evil regime in the history. Why?: Stalin communist government killed 90 millions including the vicinity nations that were turn into communism, Macho-tong communist killed 100 millions, 2 millions by North Korea, by Cambodia each, 2 millions in Africa, 200,000 latin America..so on . But most of all they all became terribly poor after communist regime,oppressing the free capitalism, except China, because they started to adapt the partial capitalism from 10 years ago after they realized the harsh economic state. Now history tells also other totalitarianistic evil regime; Hitler killed 6 million jew with other 4 million of Europeans; Japan' imperialism killed 20 million Asians during WWII, ..so on.

When communism and socialism oppress people's creative and force them to work for "common Good", the productivity drops automatically. Why? men were not made to work for Common good. Maybe some aliens from different planet or maybe Jesus will do for common good. But not men's nature. That's why communism make every one poorer and poorer. When men get prosperous by working hard, with their creativity, they help others if they are normal. because normal people appreciate God's wisdom of love and peace.But if the much power goes to God-haters, but seeking totalitarianistic government, you will see the corruption everywhere. Because they basically don't know, or appreciate God's wisdom of love and peace for all, they will fully manifest their selfishness and brutality.

If USA turned into communism, the power will shift to only those who hate the existing American system. They secretly controlling medias ( I already see it happened ) and brainwashing the youth with distorted facts in textbooks last 20 years. They keep change their names, their activity, and theory. Why? if they openly speak up, they know they will fail because any normal mind people will see the deception and its perversion. Look at these behind scenes of the head members. They are not normal mind, full of hatred, and causing always divisions, manipulations

Men can't govern themselves.They are very selfish, greedy and evil by nature. If any political party, government have too much power, they will certainly hurt others unless they truly know jesus who always teach love and peace. That's why our America's constitution is truly great, because it was written by the God's fairness and wisdom protecting basic human rights that is originally from God . I realized only those who hate God fall into "deny the constitution, or change it because it's old ideas". Too old constitution? Then why the whole world always look upon America when it comes, most well practiced freedom and human right? Please have reasons.

Collect the real historic facts, separate from the author's propaganda. Lineup the real facts, then you will see the history more accurately. Always develop the "reasoning power" of your own this way, not swayed by many false propagandas in most books out there. If you don't have your own reasoning power, you will be always vulnerable and get deceived.
Interestingly always angry, poor people become the front line deceived victims of these evil ideology. So instead, ask God to enlighten your heart to live with love and peace with others and ask your personal blessing instead of trying to destroy others who seems have.
If you believe somebody or some classes hurt your people, look at this. Bible says: forgive your enemy, don't live with your past: Don't covet your neighbors: work diligently on your own hands so you don't steal, become a burden to others. And lastly, love your neighbors as yourself. Then you will live in the true blessing of God, the creator. Those citizens of chines and all the other communist countries, including north korean, who are brutally oppressed in the middle Eastern Islam tyrannies still wants their human freedom with the destruction of the oppressing totalitarianistic regime still today. So why move to backward of mistakes people?
