5.0 out of 5 stars FOV Tiger I
I've owned the FOV Tiger 1 for over a month. Runs great right out of the box. NO problems. "What a kick". Just purchase rechargeable batteries. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

3.0 out of 5 stars Kids like it - treads fall off all the time.
My 5 y/o girls have fun zooming these around the house blasting each other and me. Only nit with this particular model is the fragile treads - they always seem to unlatch and need rethreading ... And I feel like i have to fiddle all the time with the trim on the controls ...

5.0 out of 5 stars Battle Tank Fun, December 30, 2011

While this and the companion tank (Sherman) were not cheap, they have provided many hours of entertainment. The package comes with the tank, controller and IR target. The tanks requires 6 double A batteries. I would suggest rechargeable. You can play with the tanks for about 2 hours on a set of batteries before the tanks noticeably slow and become less likely to hit a target. The controller requires a 9 volt and the target requires 2 AAA batteries. The target will last quite some time. We have yet to replace those or the controller batteries.

The tanks seem to do well on almost any surface. Yes, if you create ramps, you can climb stairs or steps. The tanks are plastic and while they are fairly rugged, one has to remember that they are not indestructable. The manufacturer has provided spare tread parts in case the treads do come off. The treads are fairly simple to put back on the tank. The first time will require a little patience.

My daughter, wife and I have had battles all over the house with these. Every friend of mine has decided to stop by and "try" them out. You just can't play once! So I would say they are good for all ages...even the big boys and girls.
