Biography

The music of Disney has been enchanting and entertaining audiences for generations, from the first time Mickey Mouse whistled a tune in Steamboat Willie to the modern-day phenomenon of the internationally popular Hannah Montana. In the words of Leonard Maltin, "Some people will tell you that music was a key ingredient of Walt Disney's success. Don't you believe it. Music was the foundation of Walt… Read more in Amazon's Disney Store

4.0 out of 5 stars Great CD! (But Expected More!), September 13, 2003
By
Daniel (Ventura, CA USA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Radio Disney Jams 6 (Audio CD)
Radio Disney Jams, Vol.6 is a great CD. But I expected more artists and songs. I expected the artists "Chrsity Carlson Ramano", "The Cheetah Girls" (Disney Channel Origianl Movie Band), Lalain, and Cooler Kids. I expected the songs (in order from the artists above) "Say The Word", "Cheetah Girls", "You Wish", and "All Around The Word". I also rated the songs and the artists.

1. I Can't Wait -Hilary Duff (5/5) Hilary's first single, the song is really good and has a great beat. But I would have perferd "Why Not?".

2. Dig It Up -D Dent Boys (5/5) Great song love it also first single off the "Holes" soundtrack cool beat too.

3. Up, Up, Up -Rose Falcon (3.5/5) Great song for the first single off her self-title album and the "Expector Gadget 2" soundtrack

4. You're The One -LMNT (2/5) I don't really like this song, niether the beat.

5. The Tide Is High (Get The Feeling) -Atomic Kitten (5/5) Great song, love it! Has a cool beat and lyrics, first single off self-titled album 2003, and second single off "The Lizzie McGuire Move" soundtrack.

6. Sing A Simple Song -Hampton & The Hamsters (3/5) An okay song, sounds like "Alvin & The Chickmunks" though.

7. All That I Can Do -Jump5 (5/5) I like this song especialy the beat. Great song.

8. That's So Raven -Raven (5/5) I love this theme song compared to "Lizzie McGuire" & "Kim Possible". This is the actual theme song, there is a different version and longer, the only thing i don't like about it is it's only :49 seconds and the song is 1:30 minutes I really wish they would have extended it or put the song insteat of the theme song.

9. Us Against The World -Play (5/5) Great song by Play, I like the lyrics and the beat, first single off the self-titled mini album.

10. Don't Stop Movin' -S Club 7 (5/5) I love this song, one of my favorites. (but I think A*Teens's "Floorfiller", they sound the same, I don't really know?)

11. My Baby -Lil Romeo (3.5/5) An okay song, but it's kinda old for me, they should have put "True Love" or "2-Way".

(This is where all the songs "get boring" ...

12.Last One Standing -Triple Image (2/5) I don't really like this song, they're a pop look a like band, but their music is and sounds like hip- hop rap trash.

13. You Make Me Feel Like A Star -Beu Sisters (2/5) I don't like this song at all what so ever, I hate the beat and the lyrics.

14. All For Love -Stevie Brock (2/5) Don't like this song either, a Arron Carter (in pop) version.

15. A*Teens -Floorfiller (4/5) Read track 10 review.

My overall review is a 4.5/5. This is a really good album, but some songs arent that fun, I really recomend Hilary's "Metamorphosis" or Lalain's self titled album. ... But go get Radio Disney Hams, Vol.6

5.0 out of 5 stars Grannny's opinion, December 16, 2003
By A Customer
This review is from: Radio Disney Jams 6 (Audio CD)
Maybe this music doesn't suit the older kids...but it's perfect for my preteen grandkids....they are the ones this music is written for, and they are the ones who listen to it.....I'm glad there is still some good, clean, music for our children to hear.

3.0 out of 5 stars If you like Radio Disney..., September 23, 2003
By A Customer
This review is from: Radio Disney Jams 6 (Audio CD)
If you like Radio Disney you'll probably like this CD since these are all Radio Disney faves. Do I like them? No, but they are innocent and fun enough for the kiddies.

The only reason I even checked the CD out is because I heard Lalaine's song "You Wish" (a popular radio disney tune) was supposed be on this cd, but it's mysteriously been replaced by the A*teens. Oh well, if you're a Lalaine fan you can spend the money buying it on her own cd from her website.
