Customer Reviews

They were easy to assemble and very sturdy.

I also noticed that the rear wheel bearings are already out of round and are grinding while the wheel turns causing a surprising amount of friction.

It took a little while to figure out the right handle-bar height for the young one, as it is very adjustable to your child's size.

I had purchased the Radio Flyer All-Terrain Tricycle, but it was poorly constructed, and had to be returned. This bike was suggested as a replacement, and it is wonderful! My 4 year-old has no trouble stopping or steering (as he did trying another "big boy bike.") He loves to ride "super-time fast" and feels so proud of himself.
I strongly recommend this as a first time bike. The training wheels ride smoothly on the ground, providing as much security as a trike. The bell is fun, and the classic red looks can't be beat. The seat and handlebars are easily adjustable, and can accomodate a larger child (mine is 44 inches and growing...)

We helped my son save his money and helped him buy this bike nearly three years ago. The poor thing has been sorely abused and the original tires are nearly bald but the thing still is in good shape. I cannot think of another toy that has seen so much daily use. A great little bike!

I just finished a three-mile loop on a bike trail with my 3 1/2 year old. He was riding his 12" Radio Flyer Bicycle with training wheels and I either had to walk as fast as I could or jog to keep up with him. It's the first time I've exercised with him without having to push a stroller or tricycle and we both had a great time. The bike is beautifully geared, very easy for him to pedal and brake, and everyone comments on how great it looks...no cartoon character tie-in, no bad race car graphics. It was a little expensive when the shipping was factored in, but I'm glad we went for a good quality bike.

The detail states the bike is for children up to 7 years old... Impossible. It is a very cute well made bike, but it is extremely small. My 4 year old daughter is too big for it. I bought this at Christmas and failed to check he dimensions. I assumed I could trust radio flyer's description... My bad.

Bought this for my daughter's 3rd birthday and she loves it. She's only 35" tall, and the seat setting at its lowest is still higher than her waist level but she manages to clamber up on the seat, adjust herself and ride. If it weren't for a couple of the other reviewers here I wouldn't even thought about whether getting a balance bike would've been better than getting a bike with training wheels. Anyway... she enjoys it and that's what matters. The little metal bell, the metal frame (it's heavy) and even the classic pink colour is charming. But I wonder if it's going to be the right size in another couple of years' time.. though the product description says it's for ages 3-7.

This is a great candidate for anyone looking for a first bike for their little one. Our son received this as a gift for his 4th birthday. It arrived in perfect condition - it was packaged very, very well - and it was incredibly easy to assemble. The bike is very sturdy, and appears that it will withstand anything my son can do to it. The quality is much superior to anything we found in the stores around us - especially the training wheels. Within minutes of being given it, our son was on it and riding - and he loves the bell that came with it. We highly recommend this product!

I purchased this bike for my son's 4th birthday a little while back and he has loved it ever since. The bike is capable of moving really fast, making it very difficult at times to keep up with the little one at times. It is constructed really well, the design is classic and the materials are solid, probably better made then some adult bikes.

There is one important thing to consider though; the red paint on this bike (at least the one I received) still bleeds a little. So when putting the bike together, prepare to wipe down the bike with a rag to get any of the excessive red paint off before use.

It took a little while to figure out the right handle-bar height for the young one, as it is very adjustable to your child's size. I also like the fact that the training wheels are very sturdy and not likely to bend or come off easily during rough use. However, make sure that the pedals are tightened completed, as it can come off very easily if it's not.

The bike is very heavy for its size, so it's unlikely that a small child can have it tip over while they are on it, except if they are going extremely fast and are making ridiculously sharp turns.

We bought this bike in January 2012 and did not attach the training wheels. Its very pretty to look at but its a horrible bike because of poor workmanship. From day one the bolts started falling out and the bike wobbles alot. My 3yr old has been riding it without training wheels since we bought it but the chain comes out every day. We got tired of it after the first month but our daughter will not part with this pink lemon. Please do not buy it. My husband is an avid biker and knows alot about bikes. We have taken it to the bike shop 3 times in vain because it keeps loosing air. The bike guys have written it off because the spokes are too long and are piercing the tube. Really, please find something else. As a side note, our kids started riding bikes without training wheels by the time they turned 3. All because we bought a balance bike to play around the house with and when someone gave us a bike our son and little girl took all of 5 minutes to balance and ride a 2 wheel bike without any assistance. We got the strider balance bike and its worth every penny. I sent it to my brother who has a 3yr old and 4yr old and after one month this Thanksgiving they are now riding bikes independently and are giving away that balance bike to a friend.

Radio Flyer Classic Pink 12 inch Cruiser? Pink if you do buy this pink lemon,(not pink lemonade) I feel that it would perhaps suit a 3 to 4yr old. Our son is 5 and is too tall for this cranker. Happy shopping....!
