Solid fun. 3 year old is too young, but learning. 5 year old won't get off the toy. Excellent for 4+ year old children.

My daughter(5) has so much fun riding her new scooter. Her mother who is maybe three times her weight got on it and demonstrated the art of scooting. No damage done -- this scooter is build solid!
I noticed that unlike a bicycle this scooter's turning radius is rather small. The beauty of this is that the child who rides this scooter will less likely have those catastrophic turn-the- handle-bar-one-way-fall-another-way (as on a bicycle) accidents.
None of the toy stores in my town carried this scooter; so I imagine my daughter is one of the few who owns one here. I would not hesitate to buy another scoooter from this company!

Best Scooter for your money August 22, 2005

Although this is a self assembly unit, it can be built in about ten minutes without any problems. It is both well made and very robust.

There are many other makes of childrens scooters on the market and most of them are much cheaper, even as much as 60% cheaper, however I am a great believer in paying a little more for something that you know will do the job, and you get what you pay for.

Radio Flyer is a well known brand and they will always carry any spare parts you may ever need.

My choice is radio Flyer every time.

And my son loves it!

I would recommend to others but keep in mind the height of the child. My granddaughter is 4 years old and is tall for her age and she has to almost bend over to hold the handles.

great if only they make the front wheel base easier to make turns...
This scooter has the quality of a radio flyer, well built. However, it isn't very good when maneuvering turns as my 4 1/2 year old gets fustrated when she wants to turn with it. Read more

This scooter is like a miniature "Hummer." And it would be a great toy for my 4-year old son if he was riding through rough terrain or a battlefield. Read more

Not much fun
I bought this scooter for my 4year old. It was very clunky and hard to handle. It sat unused for a year. I finally gave it away.
