Overall this is a nice scooter. Ships assembled, you just have to flip the handle up. That is a nice feature for storage and transportation that you can fold it down. It's easy for my 4 yr old to balance. He loves the bell on the handle. The turning radius is very wide, wish it were a little tighter, but I suppose that is the trade off for the front wheels that balance better. The handle is on the high side, which is great for my tall boy, but maybe not for all kids.

My 3 year old got this scooter for his birthday, he had been asking for one for months! HE LOVES IT!! He and the nieghbor boy scoot all over the nieghborhood! The nieghbor's scooter is all plastic & by the end of summer his was starting to crack, while my son's still looked brand new!! Both scooters were Radio Flyer, but this one has a wooden deck that is much sturdier!
If you have the choice, go with the wooden deck you'll get more life out of it!

I ordered this for my grandson and was dreading assembly. Yahoo it was completely assembled. Product is well made and solid. The customer service at radio flyer is second to none. Buy their products with confidence.

My twins got this for Christmas when they were almost 3. Now that nice weather is here, we've been using them. However, they are very difficult for my boys to steer, and they and the scooter tend to fall over frequently. Additionally, and maybe this is a good thing for a first scooter, they don't ever get going very fast. The twins pretty much have to push with their foot each step of the way which makes it pretty boring for them. They usually only go a little ways before getting off and deciding to pull it instead.

Scooter is sturdy and a lot of fun. It is well designed and built to withstand the abuse of a very active 4 year old.

It is big and bulky. Although my 2 year-old girl is in the 70 percentile in hight, she can hardly reach to the handles. I discarded the box, and can't return it :(. It is so heavy that I don't even want to carry. My child can never carry this thing around until she is 10. I can't believe that Radio Flyer designers labeled this item as "My First Scooter". It is too big and heavy to be the first! Another detail is; all wheel-body connections are made from plastic (not metal) which makes the scooter less durable for an older child. The product should be scaled down about 30% and the plastic wheel-body connections should be replaced with metal. ( I purchased this item through Amazon.com and it was delivered on time without any problem. It would be great if Amazon accepts returns without original boxes).

My niece love it! I send her this Radio Flyer Scooter to Poland to Europe and now have a lot order to place for her friends. I think it's worth your money.

this is great- the only problem is that the handles are not adjustable. It says 2-5 but my 2 year old who is in the 95% for height is not quite tall enough.

We bought this for my almost four year old for Christmas. It is a beautiful scooter and he and his 5 yo brother have already been having tons of fun with it. The bell is a little tricky to use though, especially for little (not gentle) hands. Hopefully it won't break if they are not careful enough. My biggest complaint with it is that it was made in China. We purchased this wooden one over the cheaper one that is all plastic with plans of handing it down to the grandkids someday. Hopefully it will last. If you are considering the plastic one, it is important to note that this one has a higher weight limit than the basic my first scooter -- I believe 50 lbs as opposed to 40. With something that supposedly goes up to age 5, the higher weight limit seems a lot safer. I only rated four stars on durability because, while it looks and feels durable, I really can't say after 2 days.
