My husband chose this one after our son kept begging him for a scooter. He loves this scooter. The wider wheels make it easy for him to use. We often walk the dog and he'll use his scooter on the sidewalk. Love the red color too. I would recommend this to anyone with a preschooler. Plus it goes up to age 8 and 80 lbs, I think. The next one down only went to 50 lbs and our son is already 40 lbs., so we wanted something that would last a few years. I only gave it 3 stars for educational value because I didn't buy it for that. 5 Stars for fun! Buy it, you won't regret it.

We purchased two of these scooters for our twin boys' 7th birthday. They have autism and needed a scooter that was wider since their coordination is not the best. As well it needed to withstand their weight and roughness. It has passed all our requirements with flying colors. In addition it also folds for easier storage. This has made learning to ride a scooter really easy for them. It has a rear brake on the back wheel instead of handle brakes which was a little challenge for children with motor skill coordination deficits.

I thought this 2 wheeled scooter would be a good alternative for a little brother, who badly wants to do what his big brother does on his big boy scooter. Don't be fooled by the picture. This scooter is large, heavy, unwieldly, and is very difficult to turn. It also looks like a "baby" scooter (according to my just-turned 4 yr old). A much better option for beginners is a lighter weight three-wheeled scooter (which is what my oldest son learned on). This may be fine for a 2 or maybe a young 3 yr old (though I question that because of the difficulty turning). But my 4 yr old hates it, and rides his older brother's old 3 wheeled scooter instead (which is falling apart). Santa should've investigated this one further before ordering it online.
