After taking a look at reviews here on Amazon, and comparing several starter tricycles for my daughter, we decided to go with this model. It has some good points, but also several problems.
First the good points: - Fairly easy to put together (instructions are even decent) - Paint is applied nicely, with no chipping - Being able to control the bike while walking it is great, and the parent steering wheel can be removed later - Good for teaching your child to get confident on a tricycle - Can replace a stroller for downtown walks Some small problems: - The wheels are made of hard plastic. They are fairly thin. After just a bit of use, I see significant wear. Inflatable tires would be much better. - The tricycle will suddenly emit an ear-piercing screech. It's very difficult to pinpoint where the sound is coming from. I've been able to stop this by applying WD-40 or other lubricant to all the moving parts. The sound goes away for a while, then comes back again. *** IMPORTANT *** One very big problem: The handlebar stem connects to the front wheel with an inadequate and potentially dangerous system. The two parts are joined with a clip that you tighten with a screwdriver. This clip is then covered with a piece of decorative plastic so you don't see it. The problem is, the clip loosens over time. At some unpredictable point, the handlebar and front wheel separate and the tricycle collapses. This happened to us on a trip. Fortunately, our daughter was not riding when this happened, as it would surely have caused injury. Still, I had to carry the tricycle in four parts for the rest of the trip. I re-installed the clip. Then I removed the decorative cap so I can see the clip. Now I check the clip before each trip to make sure it's fully tightened. This is a major defect in the construction and should be immediately replaced with a stronger bolt or screw assembly. Conclusion: This offers some great learning and confidence-building potential. But the dangerous clip assembly needs attention and brings the overall rating of this product down to the lowest level. If they fixed this problem, it would be rated much higher. I'll be contacting the manufacturer for an explanation of the problem. I'll request a replacement or upgrade of this tricycle and will report back on my progress.

We purchased this trike for my daughter's 2nd birthday. It was a big hit! It was simple to assemble, and seems very durable. The steer bar is VERY HANDY, and works well for pushing an steering the trike. I'm very happy with this trike and would highly recommend it.

We gave this to our daughter for her 2nd birthday. She loves it, it's sturdy and easy for us to push and steer using the handle bar. She loves the little compartment in the back where she can put things for the ride. It has a cute little bell. The only problems are that it's still a little too big for her even with the seat all the way up. Her feet can barely touch the pedals so she can't even begin to try to pedal it herself. And, you can't pedal backwards, which makes no sense at all. Otherwise, it's a nice little trike that I'm sure will get a lot of use.

We were looking for a beginner bikes for our 2-year-old and also our 6-year-old child with Down Syndrome. It works great for both- and the seat is adjustable so both of them fit the same size bike, on different settings (we bought one for each). Great learning tool for both, and they are having fun learning to ride a bike together. Would highly recommend this bike.

Great trike for young children who are pushed but when they are riding on their own they can't stop easy. The bike keeps rolling since there is no way to back pedal. It is made to be pushed.

This is thee best beginner bike for toddlers. They think they are riding the bike themselves and when they can ride the bike themselves they are entertained all day long!

My daughter got this pink Trike for her 2nd birthday and loves it! She can't quite peddle hard enough to propel herself without a little help from an adult, but the bike is easy to turn using the adult bar, easy for her to get on and off by herself and really sturdy. I can see her enjoying this bike for a few years.

I bought this bike for my 2 year old daughter for Christmas. I am a single mom so my brother did the assembly but I watched and helped when I could and it seemed to go pretty well. One thing that is not quite right when we had finished is that the parent handle is not square on. If the child handle bars are straight where they should be, the parent handle is slightly turned. Not a huge problem but you have to put in more effort to over correct when the child is steering the bike away. It does seem well put together and sturdy, I even sat on it and scooted along to check the stability. I love the idea of me being able to help her steer behind the scenes, it gives her the confidence that she can do it on her own until she really can, and when she finally can, I can remove the parent handle completely. She likes the bell and the storage compartment on the back. I am working with her on learning how to peddle, but until then she can rest her feet on the peddles and they don't turn unless they are being peddled-they do make a clicking sound when you don't peddle that gets a little old. Overall we have really liked the bike and I especially like that it can be used until she is 5 (or to a certain weight). I would definitely recommend this to a friend.
