I purchased this tricycle for my 2 year old daughter. The size is perfect for her age, but she isn't able to actually ride it because the it tips over sideways VERY easily if she turns the handlebars at all. We now purchased a different tricycle for her, but she's afraid of it because of her bad experience with this tricycle. I do NOT recommend this tricycle at all. It is not safe!

My 26 month old daughter received this for Christmas and was so excited to have her first bike. She immediately started putting every random thing she could find in the back compartment. Once we got it home and she started using it as designed, in other words riding it, she kept falling over any time she would try to turn it. Luckily, we were always right by and could catch her or she fell safely. Well, today she got on the bike when I was out of the room for a minute and took a good spill on the hardwood floor. She came away with a small cut and a fat lip. It seems like the center of gravity is off once the child is on it. The back wheels need to be further apart, I think. I can't imagine letting her ride it outside on pavement.

I say don't buy this trike! Oh yes, my daughter got one for Christmas and absolutely adores it, however, the tires are made of plastic and the tire split right down the middle!!! She has used it for less than 2 years. Then in order to replace the "part" I have to pay $15.00 plus shipping so it turns out to be more than $25.00 just to replace a tire! I am going to call to complain to the company but meanwhile buyers beware. Until they change that front tire (that takes all the pressure) to rubber, don't buy!!!:)

This is a perfect light weight bike that my 3 year can peddle. The seat provides support that most trikes dont. She has built confidence and is able to keep up with the older kids. We love it!

We received this trike as a Christmas gift for our 19 month old. She is 33" tall (very tall for her age) and just reaches the pedals enough to turn them around. Size, fit and finish seem fine, but, as the other poor reviews have noted it's very tipsy. We also received a helmet for her, and thankfully she had it on when she began riding this abomination. She first rode around the living room and every time she turned it would tip over. We thought maybe it was the carpet so we took her outside. More of the same on perfectly level pavement. After scraping her hands up a little bit she no longer wanted to ride it. We tried the rest of Christmas day and all the next day and she wants no part of it. It's a shame I cant give this product zero stars because the person who gave the gift was so disappointed that *she* cried. The sentiment of the gift was heartfelt but the poor design of the trike ruined that for at least one person. I have seen these trikes around for at least a few years and I can't believe Radio Flyer has not redesigned this product. The rear axle should be about 3-4 inches wider and it would solve the tipping problem I believe. As it stands it's just too top heavy with an actual child on it. ***As I am typing this review she just went over and sat on it in the living room. All she was doing was sitting on it when she ever so slightly leaned and it fell over. She is crying now and I'm not even making that up*** I think it would have been recalled if it were not for the standard helmet disclaimer. I would look at the more traditional style Radio Flyer trikes , if I decide to purchase one myself. They have a wider stance at the rear and appear to have more favorable reviews. I just folded this up and put it in the garage. I will drop it off at goodwill soon. Thanks for reading.

Our 2-yr-old grandaughter loves her new trike. Her favorite color is pink; she is still learning to pedal, but it's a great way to practice coordination.

My 3 yr old loves this pink trike! It's the perfect size for a beginner, and the basket on the back has become a favorite spot to stash her animals for a ride!

We had a perfectly good wide based plastic trike that I replaced with this awful one. Grandma bought this Radio Flyer folding trike for my 2 year old for Christmas. I thought "wow Radio Flyer!" and donated the older trike. Now I am kicking myself. This Radio Flyer trike's base is not wide enough for a learner. It tips way too easily, even with just a slight turn of the handles. I keep it hidden away, so that she doesn't beg to use it very often. I only let her ride it when I am ready for heart stopping dash grabbing. I do not recommend this trike. It is not safe.Spoke to Grandma today after writing this review. We will be returning this trike.

My two-year old daughter loves this trike. It's a classic and durable design, with a folding storage provision. The wide seat with a low back support is perfect for the little ones just learning how to ride. My daughter loves putting random things in the "trunk". The folding storage option is great because of the multitude of other toys/games in the house.
