This CD is great! I had heard a couple of the tracks on BBC Radio One, so when I saw that there was a whole album, I ordered it right away. These are all live tracks recorded at the radio station. My favorites are the cover songs. They often sound so different than the orginal that you give up guessing and check the CD cover. The Kooks covering Gnarls Barkley? Gotta love it!

The first thing about this cd is that it is called Radio Live but the songs sound studio produced. Other than that you get a great selection of songs and some covers that are very interesting. Hey Ya and Gold Digger are my two favorite but every song is well done.
I have all three volumes of this series and feel that volume 2 is better thus only 4 stars. If you like music and want different takes on well known songs by outstanding modern rock / alternative bands you will be very happy with BBC Radio 1.

Radio 1's Live longe is brilliant and this compililation is one of the best I've owned. With brilliant songs like DOA, Songbird, Yhe Scientist and Smile by there original artists. Then you have some brilliant covers like Gold Digger, Living for the Weekend and the best cover ever, Love Machine by the Artic Monkeys (Worth having the album just for that). A must have for any music collection
