I've used a few different XBOX to USB converters, but this is the by far the nicest cable I've seen. I prefer to use the hard plugs, but they are only offered by modchip manufacturers. This cable however offers something none of the others I have come across have: a sizable length of extension.

The plug is professionally made, and plugs in with needing to be forced, like some other converters. The USB end is just a metal cage however, and is prone to being crushed. You'll want to keep your cables off of the floor.

If you plan on using Linux, or a USB retro pad for emulators, then you won't regret this purchase. A real keyboard is a MUST for operating in Linux, because it is primarily a command line interface. Most XBOX emulators are ported from the PC and retain limit ability to connect with USB devices. Couple this with a retro pad outfitted with a USB plug and you get easy classic gaming.

If you have a modified XBOX, you need this!

When I received the product, it was in the envelope enclosed in bubble wrap. The cable is high-quality and was definitely manufactured with good materials. There is a little resistance plugging the cable into the xbox as well as plugging a USB device into the cable, which is excellent because you don't want your stuff unplugging while using. Perfect for using USB sticks with XBMC! Check the compatibility for your device though, as sticks over 4GB will not work.

Excellent purchase if you know how to use it!

Used it to hack a classic Xbox. Obviously that was popular forever ago but I had the Xbox and wanted to do it. If you are purchasing this with the intent of putting XBMC on a classic Xbox, this is the product for you. If you are looking to do something else, I'm not fit to offer an opinion.
