I read the book "How to get on Radio Talk Show..." and I found it interesting yet missing something. The book shows you the procedures to get on the radio shows but leaves out the radio stations,telephone numbers,call letters and the names of the shows. For $30.00 dollars it should have provided an appendix containing this information. Instead, you must send away for the list on a diskette. The book without the diskette is like a recipe telling you whats in a dish but not including the amounts of each ingredient.

An excellent resource with all the nuts and bolts of getting
on radio talk shows, including samples of letters,post-cards press kit
materials, even templates for planning your phone
calls to producers. I am aware that personnel at radio stations
are constantly changing, so I am not concerned that the book
does not list them. The author updates this contact information
constantly and makes it available on disk for a modest cost.
He's been on hundreds of talk-shows, and this book shows you
how he got guest spots and how you can, too.

I really enjoyed this book. Joe Sabah's down-to-earth, direct writing style really appealed to me. He takes you step-by-step through the process of getting on radio talk shows. In addition, I found this book to be incredibly motivating! I was so afraid to take on a project of this magnitude until I read the book. Excellent work!

Also, you can buy a database of radio shows from him separately. I purchased the additional database from him, and it was well worth the money. (I can't imagine that anyone would expect to get both at this low price.)

I purchased this product directly from the author, where he does include a database of 934 talk shows looking for guests. He charges more for it, but it is well worth it. It looks like if you purchase the book here it doesn't include the database, and without the database you will have more difficulty getting started. I'm giving the book 5 stars because it is an excellent resource.

I love this book because it gets straight to the point with information on how to get on radio. It also includes a bonus cd with information on it. The information on this cd is worth more than the book by a 100 times. Get it if you are serious about getting on radio.
