Book Description

This reference describes the pathologic processes that radiographers are most likely to encounter. High-quality radiographs depict these pathologies using the modern imaging modalities available, with increased emphasis on CT and MRI. Information is organized by body system versus disease classification, making this a practical and easy-to-use reference. Each chapter starts with an explanation of anatomy and physiology, then moves on to imaging considerations with discussions of why particular modalities are used. Each disease is categorized by its type with a description of its appearance, signs and treatment.

5.0 out of 5 stars Radiography Pathology, June 21, 2006

I found this to be an excellent textbook. I think every rad tech should review the informaton in this book before taking x-rays. This book was also a tool for the ARRT exam. Pathology, I think, is one of the more interestings subjects, not boring at all. This book is good along with the likes of

"The Ultimate Study Guide for the Registry Examination in Radiography questions and answers" Volumes 1, 2 & 3 BY

Patrick Leonardi. I used these guides for classroom review, tests and preparing for ARRT exam.

4.0 out of 5 stars Radiographic Pathology for Technologists-Mace-Kowalczyk, July 22, 2009
Comprehensive review and reference guide covering nearly all pathologies encountered in the radiographic practice. Each disease is categorized by type, appearance, signs, symptoms and treatment. Relevent to many imaging modalities. Chapters are organized by body system. This is a worthwhile book for brushing up on techniques or learning in depth details of a variety of pathologies.

Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
We had to purchase this book for one of our classes. and out of 28 people 28 of their books fell apart within the first month. The pages just came on bound and would fall out piece by piece. Everyone had purchased their books from different retailers so the stores cannot be to blame. Just poor quality and control.
