Ok, I am one of those people that absolutely can't use the iPhone, iPod, and any other Apple headphones - they fall right out of my ears. I have been searching for an in-ear substitute for a while and found that most of the options are either too expensive to try, or difficult to find. I found these on a CNET review and decided to try them, despite the somewhat high-cost.
Pros: - 3 sets of rubber ear cups. I found the first to work, but the middle one to be perfect! - Great bass - Good mids and highs - Relatively lightweight - Attractive design - Decent microphone and integrated answer/iPod control button - Decent ambient noise attenuation Cons: - Flimsy cord compared to Apple product - you have to be careful with it at connection points - Price is a little high to be perfect, for what you are getting Overall Impression: If you are like me and need adjustable insert in-ear headphones as a replacement for your stock iPhone set, check these out. They are just cheap enough that they won't break the bank to try them if you don't like them, but they really do have an above average sound quality and solid controls. The iPhone stock set replacement is worth looking into for sure. Overall they are a good buy, and I would both buy them again, and recommend them to a friend.

Great Earphones!,

I was looking to replace the shoddy iPhone earphones for around $50 and found these. They are great! Much better than their $100 competitors. The buds fit into your ears nicely. Music is heavy with bass. Medium sound isolation that drowns out most subway noise. The microphone works pretty good. Construction seems solid enough; no sticky rubbery covering that disintegrates like the Sonys. I've had these for about 2 months and they're still working great. A few caveats: like all earbuds, the rubber fittings that go in your ear are always in danger of falling off, especially when being taken out of the pocket, jacket, etc. I found a little superglue solves this problem. The other is I think they got the Left and Right markings mixed up. Maybe I have weird ears but the "left" fits better in my right and vice versa. When put in the way they want you to they stick out awkwardly and tend to dislodge very easy. Besides that they're great and a perfect accessory to your iPhone.

I bought this item a few weeks ago. I've given this item a couple of weeks of abuse and usage of various song types and sadly, it's not all that much better than the iPhone ear buds that came with my iPhone 3G. The hype was way too big for these ear buds. But it was fashionable and the sound capability and range was quite impressive, nonetheless.
PROS: - Clearly, a nice design and a pleasure to look at, even at a distance of 10 feet away. - The plastic rubbery ear buds are quite comfortable and it really does muffle the outside world. You can certainly get lost in these ear bud set. - Easily able to uncoil the wires once thrown into pockets. Has a nice texture to it - Sound is clear and rich - Bass is quite good - Can't beat these at the price CONS: - Does not contain the volume +/- on it, like the current iPhone ear buds (e.g. It has a answer button which can be used to skip, previous and pause/play a song, but no controls for volume) - Bass is quite good, but not as good as advertised. My iPhone ear buds that came with my iPhone 3G was comparable to this. The only thing that made the difference was the audio quality (this was MUCH richer in quality) Design: 5/5 Quality (Product): 5/5 Quality (Audio): 4/5 Price: 4/5 I know I have this 3/5 stars and that's because of hype. Overall, it's quite solid, but do not expect TOO MUCH bang for your buck over the stock Apple earbuds. I recommend getting the stock ear buds that come with the clicky button with the volume controls in it. You won't miss too much with this and audiophiles will certainly not notice too much of a difference between these and the iPhone ear buds. My next purchase, which will be in a few weeks, will be the Apple iPhone ear buds with the clicker and volume controls. EDIT: Horray! I'm on the "The most helpful critical review" ^_^

i've tried several different products for my iphone, but there aren't really many choices to replace the earpohnes that come with the iphone (with in-line built in microphone).
I've tried the V-Moda Vibe Duo Earbuds / Headset (iPhone Compatible) - Chrome, the Stereo Headset with Built-in Microphone and Click / Hold Button for Apple iPhone - Ear Cusions Included (White), the Shure I2C-M Stereo Mobile Headset. This one looked good when they arrived, seemed well built, and with a nice look, fit nicely and the sound was good quality. I am not too concerned with the bass, I mostly listen to podcasts rather than music, so it was not a big issue, but they provided good sound and good outside noise blocking. So, to summarize: PROs: - Overall good sound and noise blocking - Good comfortable fit - Nice look - Good cable length - Good quality of sound in phone calls (both in and out) CONs: - I got these on the 24th of June, and yesterday July 28th the left earbud stopped working. Just that one CON is enough to say, stay away from this product, I mean, it only lasted just over a month, so to me this qualifies as a disposable item. Too bad I live in Chile, so it's very difficult to return it. It seems that the cable plastic protection is very weak just coming out of the mic capsule, apparently that's where the copper wires get cut (I can see small copper hairs), even though I gave this just the normal usage. Too bad, I really liked them... but don't be fooled, unless you can spend [...] bucks every month, to me, it's not worth it.

I've been trying out earbuds for my iPhone for quite a while now. I tried the Etymotic Research HF2 Earphones / Headset (iPhone Compatible) - Black and the V-Moda Vibe Duo Earbuds / Headset (iPhone Compatible) - Gunmetal Rouge. The Duos won out for their deep bass. the HF2's were nice and flat and open sounding but the bass was non-existent, even when sinking them deep into my skull per the instructions. So I kept the Duos. But the Duos developed an annoying squeak in the left ear that I could not correct so I went bud hunting again.
Got the Radius RK-CA511K Atomic Bass Aluminum Earphones with In-Line Microphone for iPhone (Black) and the Skullcandy FMJ Earbuds / Headset (iPhone Compatible) - Chrome. All four of these buds have the in-line microphone to take calls and change tracks on the iPhone. (And BTW, all the models were fine wrt this feature.) On to the sound quality: I first put in the Atomic Bass buds and immediately felt the good, solid bass. The mids and highs were good too. But then I put in the FMJs and was literally blown away. Deep, rich bass and the top end is so transparent, it's like a lid opening and the sound has room to breathe. BOTH of these earbuds soundly beat the Duos. After listening to these, the Duos sounded muffled. I do like the extra-small tips that come with the buds. And I love how there is no phone/pause button on the microphone; rather you just press the whole piece and it clicks. No more fumbling around trying to find the button. So kudos for a unique design and pretty good sound, but I'm keeping the Skullcandy FMJ's....

The sound is awesome if you have a mixer and set it on "powerful" these are wayyy better than ipod headphones, that one reviewer is sadly mistaken.
However the wire around the mic is shorting the headphone, also the wires come out of the earbuds pretty easy.. and i dont have a lot of use on them yet, their no use if their already broken or are easily prone to break further.

Sounds Great, but....,

The headphones sound great. The bass was noticeably enhanced and had a rich deep sound. However, these headphones have a mic which was advertised as working with the iPhone 3GS. The mic never did work; so I returned them for not meeting the advertisement. I just wish that the mic worked with my phone!

Wiring is baaaaaaaaad, let me explain ....first of all me and my friends ordered three one was defective when we recevied it ..how? let me see ..mmmm. Wiring, that was the issue, second thing that after almost 15 days later the second one's wires started to expose its contents and almost 1 month later mine had the same thing and two months later it stopped working, ok i must say that the sound was amazing while it lasted i thought it had a good sound quality bearing in mind its price and a deep bass but the quality is cheap and i mean really cheap, anyway i dont mind having a cheap quality headphones with a great sound quality as long it works .....but these don't, and i should say that they are not that comfortable after a while you can feel them hurting your ear.
