Great design,

Great design, you can work all day and not hurt you hands. It does take a little time to re-train you hands, but it is clearly better. Better leverage also. Regular garden tools seem so primitive when you get used to these.
The blade and the handle are one piece of metal so no problems with handles coming loose or breaking. The only bad thing I can say is they take up more room in a toolbox because of the curved handles. But well worth the space. I have the whole set of hand tools, plus 2 shovels and a pitchfork. All great. Truly, the next step in garden tools.

radius grip trowel,

This review is from: Radius Garden 100 Ergonomic Aluminum Hand Trowel (Lawn & Patio)
My trouble with trowels is that I can overpower them and bend or break the shaft. That's not a problem with this one. It is very sturdy. I lowered the rating because the handle is green, absolutely the dumbest color for a garden implement. I lose it regularly in the flowers and am considering wrapping the handle in red duct tape.

Excellent Ergonomic Grip on Radius tools,

The curved ergonomic grip allows excellent leverage when digging. I could apply much stronger force without stressing out my wrists and forearm as in traditional straight grips.

This trowel has a nice, ergonomic design that makes it about as comfortable as possible to dig. The curved handle gives you some extra leverage in certain situations. It's also handy because it's easy to hang it on the fence when I'm not using it (so I don't lose it in the garden). I haven't used the slot for weed-pulling yet--not sure if that will be useful. All in all, a solid product that's worth what I paid for it.

A great garden tool (but I prefer the transplanter),

This is a great garden tool, but I have to admit that I prefer the Radius transplanter tool to this Radius trowel. I own both tools, but the transplanter is the one that I reach for most often. The difference between the two tools is that the transplanter is longer and narrower than the trowel. It all boils down to personal preference. If I didn't have the transplanter tool, I'd be using my Radius trowel more often for sure.
Both the trowel and the transplanter are extremely sturdy. They won't fall apart, and they won't rust. Having used my Radius garden tools for over a year now, I know they will last for the rest of my gardening years. They hold up well to constant use, even in my soil which is mostly clay. In the past, I've used cheaper trowels that bend over time, or the handle falls off, or it rusts. I spend a lot of time in my flower gardens, and I needed a good tool that was comfortable to use. That's the primary reason I wanted to try the Radius tools in the first place. I used to get sore spots in the palm of my hand if I did much digging with other hand trowels. The curved handles on the Radius tools are ideal. My days of painful palms are over, now that I have these tools. They're just a pleasure to use. I've used many different trowels over the years, but this is the best one I've ever used. Yes, it's more money than some other garden hand tools, but because it won't rust or fall apart, I think it's worth the extra money. And that curved handle makes gardening easier than it was before because it gives me the leverage to dig much easier than I could with other trowels. Like I said, I prefer the transplanter tool, but this trowel is still a great garden tool.

Best garden implement I own,
By
This review is from: Radius Garden 100 Ergonomic Aluminum Hand Trowel (Lawn & Patio)
This is easily my favorite garden tool. It's the only one I consistently remember to put back in the greenhouse so I'll know where it is.
I've broken trowels before on hard ground; they bend where it narrows into the handle, and then it's all over. Never been an issue with this one. I can jam it into tough soil, lean on it, and it handles the job. Speaking of handle, I see one review saying the handle is hard to deal with because of the half-moon shape, and that the handle makes it non-functional. I have the complete opposite experience. It's an ergonomic design, which is why the arc (it's not for looks.) It fits my hand (smallish) perfectly, and my wrist and tendonitis never bother me when I'm using it. It allows me a lot more leverage, too. Love it. Love it enough that if I ever lost it, I'd go get another one just like it.

Pretty, But not Ergonomic,

This review is from: Radius Garden 100 Ergonomic Aluminum Hand Trowel (Lawn & Patio)
This is pretty common lately. It's a pretty trowel, but unless you have hands shaped like half-moons it's not so easy to grip efficiently. Trowels should provide utility, not attractive good looks.

No hand tool has ever lasted so long and I have even tried to break it. I ran o er with my car, leaned on with whole body weight in frozen soil, never cleaned, left outside all season, and this thing is like new. Great design. A message to everyone else out there that makes hand gardening tools " yours suck"!!!!!!!

I just ordered a second one because I love it so much and it could be that at some point it would no longer be available. It really slices through clay and it is strong as well since our terrain is very rocky and I often try to lift smaller rocks with it and it does not bend or anything.
