I was looking for an easy-to-use lawn edger and this one does a very good job. The blade is sharp. I like the height - it's easy on one's back. I've only used it a couple of times so far but have been pleased with the results. I do put the cover over the blade when it's not in use as I want to keep the blade sharp for as long as I can. I'm 70 years old so if I can use this edger, I think just about anybody could!

Well Balanced Tools,

When I first came across these, I thought they looked neat, and maybe they might not function so bad. The look had additional marketing appeal for my landscaping company, something to set us aside from others. However, I wasn't really sure they'd suit a functional purpose, so I tentatively ordered the shovel to give it a trial run and to see if I could live with it. I've since gone out and stocked up on all the NRG-PRO tools, their hand tools, and I'm looking forward to at least some of the NRG-STX series tools as well. All of the tools have a great balance. They are easier to control and carry materials across distances ~ a simple open hand across the circular handle keeps them from spinning and dropping whatever they're carrying. I've also found the handle design helps keep them from rolling or causing too much trouble when toting them around across the arms of a wheelbarrow. The nice green does seem to get dulled quickly from the mud and, even when washed clean, still loses that new-tool shine. The business end has no such problems and remains easy to clean even when it has a right not to. I'm tall ~ over 6' ~ and I never thought I'd like the short handles on these, however, I've found they're more comfortable even digging down below grade. This is a bit of personal taste, as my son, slightly shorter than I, prefers long handled tools. The edger is sharp enough and sturdy enough to do the job on small edging, where it's not enough to bring out the power tools.

If you do a lot of edging around your home this is a device that you do not want to be without. It's durable, rugged, easy-to-use and has an ergonomic handle. You don't need to be brawny to use it.

This Radius Edger a great tool for edging the lawn. Sure, a mechanical edger would be great, but the several hundred dollar price tag wouldn't be! If you keep up with edging after the initial effort, you'll find this is the right tool for your needs! Highly recommended by a weekend gardener.

I love Radius garden tools, and the edger is no exception. We have thick, heavy clay soil here, with plenty of gravel, and the occasional blackberry bush root sneaking across the lawn to pop up out of nowhere the moment i turn my back. None of these are any trouble for this edger. The blade is still sharp enough to cut through sod quickly and easily, even after being used to outline a few large patches for new garden beds. And like all Radius tools, one of the best features is the handle. While i was dubious of the circular handle at first, it just fits my hands. It's easy to hold, easy to use. My hands don't get tired, or crampy, or stiff. It's as comfortable holding it with one hand as it is holding with two. These tools are so much easier to use than any other i've tried, it's just silly.

Sharp Cutting Blade,

Pros: Comfort handle, sharp cutting blade, good handle height unless you are over 6 feet tall. It does take effort to cut through grass. Good muscle toner.Cons: Works best in moist soil. Difficult to edge round pavers. It can be done, but you have to work to keep the edges from looking square. The 3 star rating is because it is hard for me to use in dryer soil. My husband is 6'4'. He has to bend a little to use this edger. That is okay for a short time. Makes his back sore if he does entire yard.

I was looking for an inexpensive manual lawn edger and thought this would fit the bill. Unfortunately, it is difficult to use. Maybe working in the spring when the ground is softer would have helped.

This was replacement for a lesser model of lawn edger purchased from a well known big box retailer. The old edger was poorly constructed - and the blade was very weak and easily bent. I looked at several brands at the big box retailer - but they were all of seemingly low quality with very blunt cutting edges and poor construction. After much research I decided on this particular edger. Firstly it looks good and secondly other reviews commented on how sturdy it was. In practice it has lived up to the promise. The cutting edge is sharp-ish - it cuts through turf easily and does not require massive effort. The ergonomic rubber handle is comfortable. As mentioned in other reviews the lime-green colour is 'funky and cool' but does discolour with use. Overall I'm very happy with this purchase. Great product - and a keen price.

Not what I expected but still a good tool,

I admittedly thought this would cut a little better than it does, as the blade is not as sharp as I thought. To get through the tough stuff, I have to jump on the blade to get it to cut (160lbs.) It does work however, albeit with more effort than I anticipated. The more I use it, the more it grows on me. I use it to cut through thick overgrowth my rotary trimmer couldn't cut through so it's a good thing to have in your arsenal when landscaping.

The Radius Garden 206 PRO Ergonomic Stainles Steel Edger provides a "good value". It is better than the edgers you can find at Lowes & Home Depot - sturdier, much better construction. There are a limited number of higher end edgers that use wood in the construction that appear slightly better - but not worth the 3-4 times higher price. This appears to the best value considering price vs. design - I'll know better once it gets some use.
