Blending precise sport timing features and a luxuriously elegant style, the Rado Sintra men's analog/digital chronograph watch (model R13354152) is as at home complementing black tie dress as it is wearing everyday casual dress. Made of high-tech ceramics, this fashionable watch is also amazingly durable and virtually scratch-proof. The ceramic case and bracelet form a unified whole that hugs the wrist as snugly as if molded to it and follows the your every movement. The black-tone square case (measuring 31mm, or 1.22 inches wide) frames a spare black dial with just gold-tone hands. At the bottom of the dial sits a digital read-out for the chronograph functions, which include timer, split, and add functions. The digital portion can also display a second time zone. The black ceramic bracelet features wide single links that taper from the case and is joined by a deployment folding clasp. Other features include an alarm, scratch-resistant sapphire crystal, ultra-precise Swiss quartz analog/digital movement, and water resistance to 30 meters (99 feet).

The raw material for Rado's high-tech ceramics is a very fine powder that is pressed or injected into a mold. The powder is compacted into scratchproof ceramic parts in a sintering blast furnace of 1,450 degrees Celsius. These parts are given a brilliant shin by polishing with diamond dust. Highly resistant to scratches, Rado's high-tech ceramics rate an 8 on a scratch-proof scale of 1 to 10 (with aluminum rated less than 3, gold less than 4, steel less than 5, and diamond topping the scale at 10).
