This may not be the best of Rozz's efforts in the musical and artistic spectre. But this means no other thing that this is a truly angry and inspired piece of music. the texts are sharp as razor blades, and the unique demented Rozz' voice shines here like an asylum for the mentally ill gone bad and in flames. The production and the sound could be better, though. It seems like they didn't spend a lot of money on that one. Another point is that, this album is maybe a hybrid creature between the old Christian Death (OToP)and the furious Shadow Project. So it may be a bit misleading for some fans that this music stands under the name of ChD. Anyway, Eva 0's guitars are powerful and weird at times. This is angry dark music with a punk and industrial feel to it: but the songs are really worth listening to, they are not all composed following the same pattern: Still born/still life is fast, Procession is slow, hypnothic and quite tormented, Sex is like a spoken word with a jamming musical basis -where the bass dominates the scene-, Torch Song is like a hard roch anthem without chorus, and so on. The opening spoken word song (Trust (the sacred and unclean)) is some of the best performances from Rozz that i've ever heard. and the chilling music beneath and all around (by Paris in this first song)it can really freeze your blood.

By the way, at the end there's a cover from Bowie's Panic in Detroit.

A must for anyone who's ever been touched by Rozz's words, music and voice.

None of the real Death-Fans likes Eva O? -Sorry, me too. But after all I say: This album is O.K. ...

This album is a very good release by Christian Death featuring Rozz and Eva, but I think the songs kind of stretch on and on. I would have given it 4 and a half stars for that but I cant. It has very good songs, but Evas songs arent as good. And they sound a little tired in this album, in fact it almost sounds like Shadow Project made this album. I gave it 5 stars because Rozzs songs are very good, and 'Bowies' 'Panic In Detroit' cover. If you like deathRock pick this one up, or if you are a Rozz fan. You might want to check Shadow Project out too. Overall: 4 and a 1/2 stars.

i enjoyed this cd quite a bit. it isnt great compared to the almighty Only Theatre of Pain, but it is compared to alot of other cds by alot of other bands, especially MTV garbage like boy bands and limpdick.

The singing definitely has a passionate quality to it, and the instrumantal playing is done at a very masterful quality.

i liked all the songs. there is something in Rozz's music that should satisfy a great variety of people. i wish more people knew of the great work he did when he was alive. RIP Rozz 1964-1998

This album I FEEL is not put together that well, People either love it or hate it, and I personally think it's terrible, but only because I can't stand Eva o's voice, he was better off with Gitane! Personally, I think that he wrote this album outta spite towards her for becoming a born again christian, kinda funny I think, but the song are written poorly and the album all in all is terrible, sorry about that, I love Christian Death but this album isn't that good;)
I would go with only theatre of pain if you want a good album.

Though this release almost sounds good, many of the songs falter halfway through (Like "Sex"(the song, not the act itself!!)). Lost Minds is "jammin'", but the band sounds tired and old in most of the songs. Well, there is always the Path of Sorrows!
