The 1.5"+ cutting diameter leaves a huge, gaping entry hole. In flight, RAGE's streamlined 3/4" dia., along with its HexFlat™ design, make it fly like a field-tip. This broad head would be great if they didnt have a rubber o ring holding the blades from opening. I had the broadhead open as soon as I released on a 6 pointer and it cost me. I believe the o ring idea is causing these broadheads bad reviews as they dont last with the o rings. They do work but so does everything on the market. I will just say save your money and go with something else.

I was 2 for 2 last year with rage broadheads! A 160 class with a bad shot in the neck but Like their promise I retrieved my deer 5hrs.and 2 miles later. And a 140 class that went 30 yds. it cut though the heart and cut the wind pipe completely in half. My only complaint is watch what you order online. Make sure the seller specifies the 2in.or 1 1/2 in cut.

I was a bit concerned about buying Rage Broadheads again. I am a very good shot with my bow and my friends all call me to help track their deer. But last year I lost 5 deer I shot with Rage 3 blades. Not one deer was over 27 yards. Made me literally sick to my stomach. I though since they were such a bargain I would give the 2 blades a chance to redeem the Rage name. Well the 40KE's are designed to be shot out of lower poundage bows. So I had some concern about early deployment since I shoot a compound set at 65 lbs. I shot a nice doe 3 days ago at 10 yards. Broadhead did not deploy early and I almost cut its heart in two. Deer went 30 yards and fell over. Bled like crazy. Don't be afraid to shoot these broadheads out of a compound. They work great!!
