A Good Selection,

This review is from: RahXephon Pluralitas Concentio O.S.T. (Audio CD)
While I realize Ichiko Hashimoto is the credited album artist, there are two tracks with music and lyrics by Yoko Kanno -- most notably is Tune the Rainbow performed by Maaya Sakamoto. The result is a wonderful blend. Kanno's music is full-bodied and emotional -- something I've come to expect from Ms Kanno. Ichiko Hashimoto's music gives balance throughout the sound track. All of the music is moving and very enjoyable -- an excellent representation of the mood presented in the motion picture. I have no problem recommending this CD to any who enjoyed the movie or series.

An Amazing Find,
This review is from: RahXephon Pluralitas Concentio O.S.T. (Audio CD)
I found this soundtrack not long after I first really got interested in the RahXephon TV series and I was very impressed with what I heard. This CD has a good sampling of music from the series, much of which is used again for the movie. The movie's score is quite impressive and epic, prefectly fitting with the images portrayed in the film.
If you're looking for a good starting place for building an anime music collection, this is a great place to start. It's got enough movie music to full justify its own CD, but it has enough of the key pieces (such as "Hemisphere" or "The Fate of Katun") to satisfy those who have only seen the series. |
