If you are a radio fanatic like me then you will know exactly what I'm about to post. My vehicle has nine NMO type mounts which have of course nine different antennae for different frequencies. But it is a disaster waiting to happen if you, need to go thru a car wash. I have to remove all nine antenne which exposes the contact area of the mount. These "rain caps" not only cover but seal the mount from external contamination using a rubber ring on the base. You can remove the antennae put on the caps and leave them on for extended periods of time knowing the mounts are protected.

Does what it says and nice snug dry fit. I only wish it were completely round and didn't have that weird hex shape which makes it stand out more than it would if it were smooth.

What is there to say. I have a NMO mount on my roof that I no longer use and wanted to seal it against the weather. It works great.

Perfect little low profile rain caps for the standard NMO mount - doesn't come with a logo screen printed on it or any other nonsense. Just a nice black plastic rain cap with a gasket under the lip to keep the weather out. Awesome!

The cap screws onto your NMO mount and has a small rubber seal around the base to keep out water, etc. It covers the entire mount and is deep enough to make full contact with the surrounding metal of the vehicle. The item was delivered quickly and was as advertised. You can find NMO covers cheaper but they don't have a base seal.

When a temporary antenna removal is necessary, such as going through a carwash, these rain caps are the best way to keep your NMO mount dry. They employ an o-ring in the base that does a fine job of waterproofing The connector and your roof or fender. I keep them in all my radio equipped vehicles for just such occasions. Mighty cheap insurance, folks!

I use this cap whenever I wash my car. I unscrew the antenna from the mount, and put the cap on to protect the brass mount. There is an O-ring on the bottom, and there is an inner ring to protect the contact pin. Being plastic, it doesn't present any threat of cross-threading the brass threads on the mount.

This cap is kept in my glove box, and I bought a second because they are pretty cheap.

If you have an NMO mount, you should have one of these. Don't leave the mount threads exposed to accumulate dirt and to corrode.
