This CD will be a great addition to the collection of gospel music lovers. While not as good as his God Can! release, Rain Down is much better, in my estimation, than Yes! The songs are uplifting and worshipful while still being musically sound and entertaining. You can tell a lot of work went into to this one just by listening to the backing vocals and arrangements, but all the preparation doesn't quench the spirit in these songs one bit. If you can't see Alvin in concert, this album is the next best thing. We've been using it as background to our "quiet times" and have been listening to it in the car on road trips -- and we love it equally in both places!

FOR ANYONE WHO HAS NOT EXPRENCED THE PRESENCE OF THE LORD THIS IS YOUR TAPE. THIS IS THE FIRST PRIASE AND WORSHIP TAPE WE HAVE BOUGHT AND IT WILL BRING YOU TO YOUR KNEES AND MAKE YOU "SHOUT FOR VICTORY". JUST LET LOOSE AND WAIT FOR HIS PRESENTS

5.0 out of 5 stars Worshipper's Worship CD!, September 23, 2006
I lost track of this CD when I moved to another state. I am buying it again because I know it can take me to a place of worship that I long to be in. Very rarely can you purchase a CD of any kind and even like a few of the songs let alone every song on it. This is the one! It moves you from the commonplace worship into a realm of communion with the Holy Spirit, a oneness that is divine and complete. It would be redundant to say that I really like this CD.

I like this CD. I prefer the up tempo semi-gospel type songs over the slow ones, but that is just a personal preference. Alvin Slaughter has a deep, rich voice.
