This review is from: Rain Lily (Harper Monogram) (Mass Market Paperback)
candace camp writes a wonderful story of maggie tyrell, struggling to survive after the civil war with incredible hardship and reid prescott, a ex-confederate soldier barely living day to day trying to forget the horrors of war. Unlike some civil war era books, there isn't much war content. It truly is about loss, despair, courage, strength, honor, faith...it's about our best qualities and our darker side. there were a couple of times it dragged on a bit but the story itself and the twists in it kept me reading.incredibly characters and sensitive, insightful writing....i cried real tears during this one!!
