There are sometimes an artist can make a great song, but there are others that feel like a fixed bag. For Duffy, who has really made a namesake for herself on her debut album Rockferry, she hit the nail on the head noblely well. Now, the album was expanded with new material, but the latest song from the new version is a bit of a surprise. Rain On Your Parade, the first single from the expanded version of Rockferry, is a take into the 60's Soul era that feels like a trip back in memory lane to the Dusty Springfield era, as well as the orchestration strikes a chord that could've been used in the James Bond film Quantum Of Solace, but the song does bring in a little bit of a struggle from Duffy's performance on the song. I feel that she didn't give her top of the pops here in the way she did with Warwick Avenue and Stepping Stone scored. But, it was a good try though, but I hope her next song could really be a bit more of a rainbow on the parade than just a shower.

This is an amazing song IMO. LOVE the violins, the song has a great beat and the vocal arrangement is awesome. Wish I could give it 10 stars. It's great.
