O.A.R. really goes to a new level with this 4 CD live album!! The sound is amazing and the vocals aren't choppy nor is there static or interference in ANY of the songs!! This album definitely is worth the sticker price and is better than their Live album at Madison Square Garden...which was my previous favorite!! Crazy Game of Poker...War Song...Hey Girl...Here's to You... how can you not love this band.

I've been a huge OAR fan for many years now. I've seen them live 5 times and I own all of their cds, both studio and live. If you follow OAR you know a big part of the band's draw is their live performances. The band has 3 other live cds: any time now, 34th and 8th, and live from MSG. While all of these cds capture pieces of the live OAR experience, nothing could possibly compare to how good or how complete Rain or Shine is. First, the facts: 37 tracks over 4 hours. Whether you are a new OAR fan or you've been around for their entire career there is something to enjoy for everyone in this mix of songs. Second, the performance. One of the best things with OAR is these guys are masters at tweaking and improvising. Again, I've seen these guys live many times and I've listened to all of their live cds and not once will you hear the same version of the same song, how many other bands can say that? Rain or Shine was a particularly strong performance and I really enjoyed many of the new takes on classic OAR material. Third and finally, the quality of the live performance. OAR always puts on a good live performance as these guys have toured many times over but I think Rain or Shine raises the performance bar for what a live cd should sound like. From the beginning of "About Mr. Brown" to the second live version of "That was a crazy game of poker" the sound quality is outstanding. Simply put: Rain or Shine is the definitive live OAR experience. If you haven't seen these guys perform, quite frankly you've never seen what live music is all about.

In an all-encompassing 4 disc album of their originals, classics and current hits this album capsulizes what Of a Revolution is all about. From the new intro to Mr. Brown from the first night all the way through their most powerful anthem Crazy Game of Poker to close the second night, it is almost impossible to not appreciate how far the band as come if you're a longtime fan like myself. The energy the band brings on a nightly basis is what truly makes an impact to so many of their fans and the interactions and sing-alongs are evident throughout this 2 night recording. So much more can be said, but as a huge fan I can say this is the best possible collection of O.A.R. music and a terrific way to start out the new decade.
Here's to you guys-you absolutely knocked it out of the park with this one, and having braved the elements of night 2, it is testament to your resolve to rock out and as they say in the liner notes-"We sat down as a Band to list everyone we wanted to thank for this live album. What we realized is this one is for the Fans-the one's who have stuck with us through RAIN OR SHINE! Thank you."

I recently discovered OAR and the 5-6 songs I really liked were spread out across 3 of their regular albums, so I opted for more music than I might care for and a live album which I prefer not to get. I could not have been more pleasantly surprised. I have a hard time deciding which is my favorite disc and got to appreciate a lot of songs I had yet to hear from them. You can't beat the per song price on this album, especially with the quality that accompanies it.

Thank you, O.A.R. This release is a huge gift for fans of the "college rock" band from small town Rockville, Maryland and Ohio State University. Over 4 hours of music from the best band of the last decade is enough on its own to please anyone who enjoys the music of O.A.R. It's even better when this album is THE BAND's BEST.

Old songs take on new (better) twists, such as Here's To You, On Top the Cage, Whose Chariot, Get Away, and Rhythm of Your Shoes (all highlights). Tonight is introduced as O.A.R.'s first song ever, and it shines. Also included are tracks from the band's most recent studio album, All Sides, such as their biggest hit yet, Shattered, On My Way, and Dinner Last Night.

I have been listening to different parts of this album every day since I got it. I highly recommend you pick it up.

This is my first review of a CD on Amazon, but I was very anxious to get it out. I truely wish that I would have known about O.A.R. years ago. I saw a live show of theirs on HDNet and really enjoyed their show and music. So, I went out and picked up this live CD in order to get a full taste of their music from their albums over the years. This is a great CD and a great band. I was very surprised to hear how clear and loud the live versions are. Typically that is hit or miss, but this production team did a great job! I give a ton of respect to all of O.A.R.'s fans for making them such a successful band. I hope their success continues to grow without having to give-in to mainstream music. One thing I have seen and respect about them is their offering of live performances. This is such a great thing for a fan to experience! I am looking forward to seeing them the next time they make a stop in Dallas!

Recently, within the last few years, became an O.A.R fan. The airplay of shattered got me to buy my first album. Really like the bands sound and have seen them twice now live. This new CD is simply awesome. acoustic, electric, all 4 sides are a great listen.

I've been an OAR fan for a long time - perhaps too long. I thought I would love this album (like I have loved their past albums) but found the "energy" of the recording was not on par with the band's other works. Their Live at Madison Square Garden is an amazing album, all the way through. This one is just an unoriginal reproduction of most of the band's songs. I really feel they just threw this together and pushed it out - rain or shine, mostly rain.

This was my first O.A.R. alubum. It is a as close to a greatest hits collection as I could find. I cannot get enough of it. Worth every penny.

O.A.R. is a great band with excellent music. I recommend this CD as well as all their other ones. These guys are very down to earth, humble people who love to put on a great show for their fans. Their music just makes you feel good.
