5.0 out of 5 stars Fantastic!
I love that RainX combined a glass cleaner with rain repellent. Spray it on, wipe off the excess with a microfiber towel. After 30 seconds, buff off any remaining haze with another clean microfiber. The windows are left clear & clean. I've had NO issues with residue, even sometimes using this twice a week. The repellent works fine. I love this stuff!

1.0 out of 5 stars Useless waste
As a glass cleaner, this product leaves a residue.

As a rain repellent, I'd give it a 2 out of 10.

Don't bother.

Stick to Windex and original rain-x.

very hard to wipe off, wants to leave streaks & smears,
expected better from rain-x, will not buy again, does not do
much to repel rain like rain-x window treatment which is a very good product!

2.0 out of 5 stars Doesn't repel as well as Rain X original formulation, January 23, 2010

Picked this bottle up at the store and thought it was as good as the original formulation. During the rain storms, I noticed that the water did not repel off the glass as well. I'm going to return and get the real mccoy.

2.0 out of 5 stars Disappointing, leaves a slight haze after rainstorm, January 9, 2009

I tried this product as I clean my windshield regularly, particularly before rainstorms, for maximum vision clarity. It does indeed wipe off streak-free ... IF you use a clean, dry microfiber cloth after cleaning with this fluid and a paper towel or rag.

What disappointed me was that after driving in heavy rain, in which water was beading up about as well as a scrupulously clean windscreen, using a competitor glass cleaner, light mist formed on the window from mild spray on the road. This actually reduced visibility, and I had to use my single-swipe wiper function more than without Rain X. I also noticed a slight haze on the window, evidenced by a halo around oncoming vehicles' headlights.

It's well known that Rain X has to be used regularly, or the window loses its hydrophobic quality, and a haze forms. As I mentioned, using another product regularly, I get a very clean window which rain rolls off effortlessly, and leaves no hazy residue.

5.0 out of 5 stars Champ at cleaning the exterior windows, November 12, 2011
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Rain-X 5071268 2-In-1 Glass Cleaner Plus Rain Repellent, 23 oz (Automotive)
I bought this to clean the windows of my truck while traveling across country. The product is great! It makes the glass water repellent and easier to clean after application.
A couple hints:
Use the gas station scrubber to get the big stuff first.
Spray the Rain X Cleaner and clean with paper towels.
Follow up with a damp microfiber cloth to polish the glass.

1.0 out of 5 stars A completely unimpressive product, November 11, 2011
This review is from: Rain-X 5071268 2-In-1 Glass Cleaner Plus Rain Repellent, 23 oz (Automotive)
I bought this product in the hopes that it would solve two problems in one: clean my windows and help me with visibility in the rain.

Initially, I was quite happy with the product. It cut through the mild dirt and grime on my windows with ease and I didn't have to use too much elbow grease to get all of the residue off. Thrilled as I was, I recommended the product to my family.

I was quickly disappointed, however, when the first rain storm hit. As the beads of rain splatted the windshield, I found myself wondering if I was hoping for too much from the repellent part of the product. Once I turned on my windshield wiper blades I was stuck wondering if they had always left awful vision-hampering white streaks following the blades. Thinking it was a fluke, I cleaned my wiper blades and cleaned off my windows with just water. The same thing occurred when I went to use my window wiper fluid.

A month later and a few other products used on my window, the vision-impairing trails have finally left my windshield. I apologized profusely to my mother, whose windshield I eagerly cleaned using the product before I truly understood its unfortunate attributes. Even though it helped me initially with the cleaning of the windows, the visibility in the rain part was where it had its downfall. I would never, ever recommend this product to anyone unless you are trying to help them not see the road and get into an accident.

2.0 out of 5 stars Spend the extra time and a few extra bucks on the true Rain-X treatment., September 12, 2011

I bought this thinking it would be easier than cleaning then applying and buffing off the original Rain-X treatment...which it is, BUT its dang near impossible to get it streak free, and it doesn't clean too well.
The first time I used it I just applied and thought the streaks were because I didn't clean my windows well enough when washing my car....then about a month later I thought I'd give it another try and scrubbed my car with my cleaner, then used regular glass cleaner, then used the Rain-X 2-in-1...it still streaked. I used those expensive microfiber glass cloths, used a dry one to wipe it...still nothing but streaks!!! The worst part is it still has the Rain-X so I either have to let it wear off or wash my windshield with lighter fluid (the best way and sometimes the only way to remove rain treatments). Once its all off Im going back to the original Rain-X treatment, maybe Ill use the 2-in-1 on my side windows where I don't see the streaks. Save your windshield, by the original.

1.0 out of 5 stars Awful, September 5, 2011
This review is from: Rain-X 5071268 2-In-1 Glass Cleaner Plus Rain Repellent, 23 oz (Automotive)
After cleaning my car windows with this stuff they are now streaked something awful. Tried several others products to get wash the Rainx off but the windows are still streaked. I don't know how they can say their product enhances driving visibility. It sure doesn't on my windows. Still haven't been able to get the streaks off. If anyone has a suggestion it would be very much appreciated.
