5.0 out of 5 stars Great Fish!
This fish was really fun to use in the pool with our 3 year old. She can't swim around the pool with it like she wants to but it swims just as if it was a real fish. The minute it got wet and we submerged it to get the air out, it swam and swam. Great buy!

2.0 out of 5 stars 2 of 3 defective-poor workmanship
arrived yesterday. After 20min of water play (they are very cool and realistic) I took them out of the water and 2 of 3 kept running. Directions said to wipe contacts, which we did. Next morning they were still running. I opened both to find out that the adhesive that was used to hold the motor to the fish ate through the plastic and exposed the motor. I was shocked...

5.0 out of 5 stars Keeps on Swimming, June 30, 2006
This review is from: Rainbow Reef Magic Action Trigger Fish by Swimways (Colors May Vary) (Toy)
I bought it because it was on sale and I thought it would be cute for a party even if it didn't last too long. After reading the comments about the battery getting wet, I put two layers of strapping tape over the battery compartment to keep it dry before I used it the first time and that seeems to have worked. I put the fish in the pool at the start of a pool birthday party for my nine year old daughter and it was a big hit. Some of the girls swam around with it most of the evening. They weren't exactly gentle, either. They grabbed it and pulled it under several times. They were in the water about three hours but the next day I realized that we didn't get the fish out. I found it partially submerged in the skimmer basket. I shook it out and tried it at another swim event and it still swims.

My 2 boys love this fish. They laugh everytime it swims by them. We put it in the pool or the bathtub. It has worked great for us. These look so real too!

Works just like the description says. Nemo on the other hand sank after the first day.

1.0 out of 5 stars Not So Magic, September 12, 2009

The Magic Action was that when placed in the water the fish would start to swim. This part worked quite well, unfortunately, when taken out of the water it never stopped swimming so the batteries didn't last very long. It's now a fish that just sits in the water motionless because I'm not willing to use new batteries every time the kids want to use it. It would be a lot of fun if only it would turn off.

I was shocked to see such poor workmanship. How on earth could a product make it out the door without testing the adhesive for such issues? Bottomline the fish are very cool, but your call if you want to take a chance on the quality issue.

1.0 out of 5 stars doesn't work, July 9, 2006
This review is from: Rainbow Reef Magic Action Trigger Fish by Swimways (Colors May Vary) (Toy)
This one doesn't work. It is supposed to come on when it hits the water and it doesn't. One it came on randomly but we couldn't seem to replicate it. None of this type of fish seem to do all that well but this one is worse than the others. He is pretty though.

I have 6 of these now and they are great. The kids love to swim with them but we also use them for decoration for backyard barbeques. They look real and look wonderful in the pool. Great pool toy!!

I dropped it in the pool once, and it never stoped running, eventually after the battery died from not shutting off, I replaced the batteries and it has never worked again.

My son loves this fish, he learned to say the word fish by playing with it all the time.... Too bad it didn't work!!!

It never worked - period. Not even for a second. Get the disney fish - it doesn't look as real but at least it works.
