From School Library Journal
PreSchool-K–Two chunky board books feature the ever-popular Rainbow Fish demonstrating concepts in the sea. In
Colors, each spread shows a sea creature with text on the facing page giving its name and its color in English on the top and Spanish below–"red starfish/
la estrella de mar roja." The use of the definite articles is laudable, and the watercolor illustrations have the typical Pfister charm.
Counting gives the numbers from one to 10, showing the numeral and the English and Spanish words, as well as the appropriate number of animals–"4, four shells,
cuatro conchas marinas." Nicely executed and sound for introductory Spanish, these are nonetheless best designed for use as lap books at home or in preschool programs.
