This is a special album of music, one that if you are a Bob Marley fanatic, will get major play in your collection. It's so unique and interesting. This is the sort of album that I can guarantee will never get old for anyone who digs it. Everytime you listen to it, you will discover something new. The more popular albums, compilations and so on are magnificient, however apt to grow stale after many repeated listens. This is no diss, it's just fact curiosity is a huge driving force in getting an individual to listen to the music again and again. One you figure an album out, you get bored with it. You can't get bored with this if you like it.

One Bob Marley's most compelling songs is an exceptionally rare and exotic early version of "Satisfy My Soul". This version is nothing like the "Satisfy My Soul" on Kaya. This "Satisfy My Soul" is haunting...and beautiful. There is something absolutely captivating about it if you are able to absorb it (it's only about 2 and half minutes). But, wow does it have a presence. Another rarity is a very easy going (barbecue atmosphere or pool party) "Love Light Shining". Bob just seems like the ultimate chill performer on this track. Happy and light hearted, pure love and groove. Totally laid back at peace with the world. Really a great song.

Songs that found their permanent blue print early on such as "Rainbow Country" and "Soul Rebel" are stellar. They sound exactly as you will hear them on any other album and this is good because they were done right the first time. If you haven't heard them, "Rainbow Country" is haunting song in which Bob sings "And though the road is rocky, it sure feels good to me, and if I'm lucky, together we'll always be." Totally sweet. "Soul Rebel" addresses his reputation as a non-conformist and as well the condition of himself and his people and really all who feel cheated in one way or another by the world we live in "If you're not happy children, you must be blue" is one of the lyrics.

As well, I would say, there is something truly magical about "Long, Long, Winter."

When you listen to other albums by Bob that came later, too me, while they still move you and are deep and touching, you can't see Bob. When you listen too this...you can see Bob, it's like you're both sitting there in the back yard and he and the Wailers are giving you a personal concert. I can see Bob vividly and it's a sunny day, warm weather, and "It's All Right".
