Sometimes a full-size shovel is too big for the flower bed or planter box and the hand scoops are too small. This shovel has been surprisingly useful. Add that my two young stepdaughters think the shovel is for them and they spontaneously start hauling dirt and leaves along side me and this has been a great buy.
