I'm all for vitamins. Anything to boost my body is great, especially when it's natural. I don't like relying on energy drinks of things of that nature. When I started researching, I was relieved and intrigued to see I wasn't the only woman my age struggling with a less than desired ability to recall memories. That being said, I chose Rainbow Light because it was a vitamin AND a supplement; not just one or the other. When I think of a multivitamin, I only think of impact on my immune levels but this has much more benefit.

I use the dosage with meals to make it easy to remember to take. Plus, I've always been told pills are better digested when taken with food. I had positive experiences when taking just the rainbow light; my focus was better. But, it was even more enhanced when I complimented it with sulbutiamine capsules- Sulbutiamine Nootropic Capsules (200 mg) 100 Capsules. Not only did the Rainbow Light and Sulbutiamine improve my memory, but they also gave me better in-the-moment focus abilities. Where I used to get run down with piles and hop from one to another I am now able to sort through one at a time with ease. That's allowed me to be less stressed and function better overall not only at work, but at home. Running around with pets and kids and laundry makes for a never ending list of chores...

Because of the success I've had using these, I suggested the combonation to a friend who suffers from severe anxiety at work under deadlines and she's also significantly improved her overall work abilities and she has her anxiety in check. If I hadn't seen it myself, I wouldn't have believe the progess she made since starting the supplements. They can really be a lifesaver for the working parents out there in the world.

இ Fuzzy Wuzzy's Summary:
ѾѾѾѾ Recommended with warm fuzzies, but with some reservations about its suggestion to take up to three multivitamins per day.

A few decades ago, your typical multivitamin was a blend of all the essential vitamins and minerals, with most of the ingredients added at dosages of about 100% of the Reference Daily Intake (RDI, which is based on the older Recommended Dietary Allowance (RDA)) and Daily Value (DV) as recommended by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration and Health Canada. Although most vitamin companies followed the FDA's recommendations for daily dosages, some companies added megadoses of specific vitamins that they claimed was targeted at specific people or specific health benefits, e.g. men's vitamins, women's vitamins, senior old-age multivitamins, vitamins for stressed-out people, vitamins for very active people, vitamins to help increase your libido, etc, etc. Some of the claims and logic used in these multivitamin formulations make sense. For example, women may need a different vitamin formulation than men because women need more iron due to blood loss during menstruation and women need more calcium and vitamin D to counter the tendency of postmenopausal women to develop osteoporosis.

However, most of the special-formulation multivitamins have not really been well-tested to prove their efficacy, and to really blur the facts, how you may feel after taking different multivitamins is extremely dependent on your own lifestyle, your diet, and your own unique body, so there really is no one-size-fits-all pill for everyone.

Marketed to teens and young adults, this nutritional blend also seems applicable to any age group seeking better focus and clarity of mind along with supplemental nutritional support. Instead of the typical Phosphatidylserine approach to brain supplementation, this blend contains ginseng, bacopa, ginkgo and rhodolia extract. Additional ingredients such as a vegetable juice extract, citrus bioflavonoid complex and even spirulina provide an extra measure of nutritional support beyond typical OTC supplements. However, this product tends to use synthetic forms of vitamins in cases where natural forms would be preferred.

Other Rainbow Light supplements caused me to have mild to moderate headaches, and this particular product doesn't seem to produce those effects. The downside to this supplement is that I don't really experience increased mental acuity, focus or concentration. I do experience this when taking other supplements, particularly 4Life Transfer Factor ReCall or Swanson Brain Essentials.

Overall, I would rate this product as average - there are supplements out there that are more bioavailable which utilize a better balance of ingredients. With supplementation, having the correct ratios lends itself to vitamins that complement each other synergisticly versus potentially neutralizing or even negating each other.

I have been taking these multivitamins for about six weeks at two per day. The daily serving size is listed at three per day, but the dosage is listed as 1-3 per day. I chose two per day because that set most of the individual vitamins at a comparable dosage to the multi that I switched from to try these out. I can't say that I especially noticed any significant clarity of mind, but at the same time I also did not notice any drop in clarity or ill effects from switching off the quality multivitamin that I was taking prior. Nor did I notice any side effects such as stomach upset or aftertaste from taking these at the rate of two per day. To be fair, the full effect of vitamin supplements takes weeks to achieve and the effects are generally gradual, whether starting out or changing formulas, so it would be hard to notice any immediate effects from these specific vitamins. Based on the supplements I was/am taking, however, I would almost immediately notice if anything was lacking. I feel good, and again, no ill effects from switching to this product. Rainbow Light is also known for being 100% natural whole food based supplements, which is nice to know. Having no gluten or questionable binding agents or nutrition sources is reassuring. Like with any supplement, I recommend carefully reading the ingredients before taking to make sure there aren't any ingredients that disagree with you.
