caused anxiety, depressing topic!,

Of the repetitious Fairy books in this series that I have had to read, this is one of the very worst. The plot line centers on how the Fairyland magical box of candy, magic rose, and magic card apparently are in charge of maintaining any kind of love- family love, sweetheart love, and friend love. My 5 year old was very anxious as suddenly the main characters were being mean and inconsiderate to each other, and one of the girls' parents were fighting, and sweethearts all over were breaking up. It was a terrible story.

My daughter loves the rainbow magic series so this was the perfect present to get for her for Haunukkah. This is one of her favorite rainbow magic special addition books.

All the rainbow magic books are great for the later part of Kindergarten until about the beginning of 2nd grade. They really insipre them to keep reading ad make chapter books fun. Plus my daughters both had a topic in common with other new girls. They had an easy time making friends when they could discuss different fairies and play fairies. Plus these books are not too scary. The goblins steal an object that the humans and fairies get back. Nothing too heavy for K-2.

This series has made my niece really enthusiastic about reading. If you have a child learning to read novels and interested in fairies, this series is worth a try.
