'Megan had always looked on Alain as an older brother, so it was embarrassing for both of them when people began to link their names romantically. In an attempt to prove everyone wrong, Megan went to her good looking boss for assistance-but only succeeded in making matters considerably more complicated than ever!'
I seems that Alain Drew and Megan Shaw were close friends until a jealous woman Iris Markway stepped in to break up the friendship.
What Iris ended up doing is causing all kinds of heartache for both Alan and Megan, not to mention Ray Hallett; Megan's boss.
When on the advice of Iris, Megan stopped hanging around Alain, he became a grouch.
Alain didn't understand why his once plaguey menace Tuppence (Megan) was avoiding him. He discovered he missed her and thus discovered he was in love with her.
Megan didn't want to cause Alain unnecessary trouble by hanging around him all the time. It seemed that everyone in the village expected her to by Alain's shadow. Megan had never noticed she was being a pain in the neck to Alain.
But when Ray Hallett fell for Megan, and would do anything for her, Alain knew he had to do something fast...
