Rainbow Room Restaurant and night club opened in the RCA building at Rockerfeller Center in 1834. It was the first large dining and dancing club atop a modern skycraper. For many decades the restaurant has been considered one of the most elegant in NYC. It offers stunning views of the skyline, a revolving dance floor, and over the featured the music of Ray Noble, Duke Ellington and Sy Oliver. In 2003 Felix Swing Band became one of the house bands, a very prestigious accolade indeed.
