Jreamwriter (The Rainbow Through The Eyes Of A Closet Homosexual's Wife),
This review is from: The Rainbow Through The Eyes Of A Closet Homosexual's Wife (Hardcover)
Well after hearing a lot about Jreamwriter and this new novel, I decided to order it from Amazon. It arrived a couple of days later. I anxiously begain reading the book and noticed that I continued to read it without putting it down for nearly 4 hours. The charactes and free flowing of the writing sort of makes you feel the impact of the situations, and sadly I felt sympathy and apathy at various times due to how the wife finds out about her bi-sexual husband, and of his hidden relationships. This is one novel that I hope makes it to the Big Screen. This is an adult read, and for people who want more understanding of men or women on the Down Low, get this book. This book is for anyone who is involved in a relationship, and perhaps having doubt about the singular nature of their spouse. It's a well written book and I look forward to reading others publications from Jreamwriter. Excellent debut novel.

Reviewed by Chasity BooneUrbanBookSource.com The story of Kylena Brook's life falls around the plot of "look at what this man has done to me." Kylena is a mover and motivator when it comes to her career and her children, but not in the hands of the man she married. Kylena is on her third marriage to Mr. Alex Brook a counselor and a holier-than-thou church man that has no idea what he wants in life or love. Kye wants to be a caterer and focus on her career, but Alex is not the best person to support her in that virtue. Kye has a past that she can't seem to shake off, and she feels like she' battling demons. She is battling demons in the form of her children and demons in the form of her husband. Alex is a man that feels that prayer is the answer to all one's problems except for his. Alex is a brother that doesn't want to be honest with his wife about the sand problem in his eye and his wife can't blow it out for him. Gerry; who is Kye's best friend would probably be the better candidate for that. Kye notices a change in Alex's pattern and as we know everyone has one, but when they deviate from that pattern that's when we as women become skeptical and that was Kye's case. Kye's problem is that she is living her life in denial because she doesn't want to know the truth she's holding on to a man who is already gone. Kye solves her problems through drinking, but when it's all said and done will that be enough? The book to me just seemed out of sync. It could be the way the characters came into the story that deviated from making the story interesting to me. I was just trying to keep up. Don't get me wrong, I agree that this book may be inspirational for women and men that are going through the scenario of the title of the book because I am sure there are a lot of women in the world now possibly suspecting their husbands of being involved with the sand. There was no action in the book, and it really didn't start getting interesting until around the 10th chapter and by chapter 14 it was on fire, but that's not a good thing when there are only 15 chapters in total. If you have read Private Affair or Choices and you pick this book up expecting the same action, you can forget about it. The scenario in this book is avoidance is not the answer. What did you like Best about the book? How the author focused on the ins and outs of church. What did you dislike about the book? It was a very slow read.

This book jumps right into the drama! This book mainly illustrates the main character's struggles with miscarriage, depression, alcoholism, and mental as well as spiritual manipulation. The author shocks you with a fictional storyline that shows some of the real-life destructive consequences that can and do occur when down-low pastorial men marry unknowing, naive, or emotionally lost women to cover up their homosexuality. The main character Kyleena has an awesome best friend Gerry. Gerry is openly gay, has a great personality, he's hilariuos, and he never leaves Kyleena's side throughout her trials. This book also brought up a good discussion topic... the long term residual effects miscarriages and abortions leave on women. This would be a great book for women's groups. It'd also be a great Lifetime channel movie.

Renita James, Volunteer Reviewer | Delaware, USA | Cloud Source ReviewsThe Rainbow Through the Eyes of A Closet Homosexual's Wife - 2nd Edition, by Jreamwriter Fiction: Drama | Paperback | ISBN: 978-0-9824789-0-5 In this tale, Kyleena, an emotionally distraught and mentally abused victim of her own bi-racial beauty, twines herself into a third marriage with a man, Alex, who has advertised himself to be a man of God. Only, as time progresses, and as Alex's sexuality becomes more and more transparent, Kyleena finds that her spirituality and view of the homosexual culture is put to the test. Kyleena finds the strength to push through her ordeal with the love and support of her best friend, Gerry, and her devotion to her daughters but as the truth of her husband comes to a head, her mental state becomes unstable and she remits to substance abuse, abandoning her faith in God, and even giving up on life. Reviewer Commentary: This is a wonderfully abrasive novel aptly relevant to the times in which we live. The author has a unique voice and brings to life a story full of relatable characters and situations. The story touches on deceit, domestic violence, substance, emotional, mental, and spiritual abuses, abortion, miscarriage, homosexuality, infidelity, and suicide. Readers with a background or knowledge of biblical or theoretical teachings will appreciate how the author used a secular book to bring non-secular topics, center-stage. The Rainbow Through the Eyes of A Closet Homosexual's Wife is a page-turner and a must read. It will touch the hearts of many. What I disliked, at first, was the name the author chose for the angel who cares for her deceased children. The name Metatron seemed futuristic and unfitting for a fiction drama. Metatron still sounds like something more apt for a Sci-Fi novel, however, after researching the Metatron, I was delighted to discover the author really did her homework. I will not give it away but the ending was crystal clear once I learned about the Metatron and his position among the angels and with prematurely deceased children. What I like most about this novel is how the author portrayed "Christians" and the church. I also appreciated how the author made it a point not to label homosexuality as the villain in the story, but rather deceit. Although the story dealt with some difficult situations, the author still found a way to make the story and characters quite humorous at times. This is a good read. ### --- Cloud Source Reviews is a professional nonprofit digital content review service. This book could have been a good read. But it lacked a storyline. The writer jumped all over the place. The main character made no sense at times. At this time and age there are so many down low books being written and she does not compete. This book should not be prices at $20. Poor editing job. Story could have been good but it lacked realness.
