Did what it was suppose to do, protecting the lens on my Canon camera. The shipping was really fast I needed it for an international trip.

I bought this lens cap after I lost my previous one. It fits the lens snugly and the strap anchors it firmly to my camera strap. A great buy and I plan to buy another one for my second lens.

great for the price.

i prefer nikon lens caps, so this is a great compromise.

it doesnt fit 100% well, but it definitely fits well enough to do the job. ot has a slightly larger profile (just enough to notice it) compared to original lens cap.

perfect for use with the lens hood on.

This is good lens cap to fit 58mm filters. I use it on my Canon SX30IS that I have bought a filter adapter for. It comes with a string to attach to the neck strap to prevent loss.

Do you enjoy rubbing your fingers across your lens surface while trying to put your lens cap on?
Do you like not being able to easily put on / take off your lens cap with a hood in place?
Do you like losing your original, albeit poorly designed, Canon lens cap and having to replace it - at Canon prices?

If you answered yes to the above, then this product is not for you. Keep using the factory lens cap that came with your Canon lens. (At least I think they still give you a lens cap when you purchase a lens. They don't give you a hood with many of their lenses!)

If, however, you don't enjoy the above limitations of the stock Canon lens cap, get a couple of these. You WILL lose one, so yes, get several. Keep the original for when you sell all your Canon gear to move over to another brand. You can advertise "For Sale: Used Lens, Lens Cap never used!"

The center "pinch" is imminently better than the Canon brand "edge press" models.

Plus, if you care to look really uber-cool, these caps have an ingeniously designed hole that you can attach a (included) string to and allow the cap to be "Blowin' in the Wind" - hanging freely from your camera or strap. Like the Grey Line tourists snapping shots of us on Haight Street, San Francisco, 1968.

If you plan to use the nerdy string religiously, you are hereby given dispensation from the multi cap purchase recommendation.

Peace & Love! (Brothers & Sisters)
