Sequel PLEASE!, February 26, 2010
This review is from: Rainbow's End (Urban Soul) (Paperback)
I loved this book! Dylan and Caleb's story was just wonderful. I read this book in one sitting and as with all of Ms. Gunn's books, I dreaded coming to the end. I cried at the end of this story - not something I do often - but Ms. Gunn is a master at her craft and this story is that good. I hope that one day she will write a sequel to this story.

Jazz Vocalist's Review, March 4, 2009

Rainbow's End (Urban Soul)
Well, Ms. Gunn you've done it again!! I read "Cajun Moon" and was taken away to another place (New Orleans). Now again with "Rainbow's End", I've been transported to Socrates, TX. I could just imagine this little sleepy, slow town where everybody knew and cared about each other.
Rainbow's End lured me in slowly and once I was in, I couldn't let it go. I was awake from 3:00 a.m. until 7:30 a.m. reading it until it was finished. I could not get enough of Caleb and his simple, yet loving ways and how he brought Dylan (Dallas) back to life where she could let herself go and begin to feel and love again. And, as a vocalist, I of course love the favorite songs that are mentioned in the book. I've already downloaded one of them and am listening to it.
The last two chapters brought tears to my eyes. And then later in the day I re-read them, and cried all over again. And, that is what art is supposed to do--to connect with the deepest parts of us, and then change us in some positive way. I endeavor to do that in my music--to stir my own emotions and then those of the audience. What a gift we've been given and Ms. Gunn does not hide hers under a bushel!! Thank you for sharing your gift with us.
Of course I want a sequel, I'd like to know what happens to them, how many children they'll have, does Dylan continue to sing?? I love these characters and I appreciated that in the end Dylan could have compassion and empathy for Brenda Faye.
Thank you Ms. Gunn once again for touching us, your readers, in a very special way, helping us to get a peek at what is really important in life and what real love looks like. Thank you for introducing us to new people and showing us another way of life. All the best to you in your future writings and much success!!!

A Pot of Gold!, February 27, 2009
This review is from: Rainbow's End (Urban Soul) (Paperback)
Gigi Gunn continues to delight her fans in her latest novel, Rainbow's End.
Outwardly, the world of the beautiful and musically gifted heroine, Dylan Price, couldn't be more perfect. Professional success, family, friends, adoring fans, homes, exotic cars, and bank accounts sufficient enough to finance endless shopping trips on Rodeo Drive. The good life. Or is it?
You'll enjoy being transported by the lyrical mastery of Gigi Gunn's writing into the privileged world of this ultra-successful diva as she embarks on an inward journey to discover her true self.
Your soul will be rattled when she finds her true love, Caleb Walker, "that man whom every other man will be measured by". You'll recognize her cocky initial judgements of the unfamiliar, feel the fire of her passionate lovemaking, and live the painful price of her deceptions.
It's a soul stirring and totally romantic read that will leave you breathless and cheering at the end. Which, like all of Gigi Gunn's novels, comes too soon.
Bravo, Gigi!
