5.0 out of 5 stars This is an Amazing Book!, October 29, 2007
This review is from: The Raindrops' Adventure (Paperback)
The Raindrops' Adventure is a truly amazing book! The illustrations are phenomenal; I've never seen such great work, especially in a children's book! I couldn't stop turning the pages; I wanted to see what fantastic piece of art work lay on the next page.
This book is wonderfully written as well, it is simple enough for a child to understand, yet complex enough for an adult to enjoy reading over and over again.
I recommend this book to everyone!

5.0 out of 5 stars Exciting & captivating reading for children !, October 18, 1999
By A Customer
This review is from: The Raindrops' Adventure (Paperback)
I am sending copies of this book out to several elementary teachers that I know. This book has wonderful illustrations and captures a childs attention and keeps it thru out the whole book. Books like this are great teaching tools just for that reason alone, not to mention the wonderful characters they learn to love thru out it. I would suggest anyone who has children to purchase a copy.

This review is from: The Raindrops' Adventure (Paperback)
Not only is this a great book to read, but the art work is unmatched. This detail is not always found in childerns books. Its colorfull, and intresting. The raindorp is a charter childern can relate to, he is a fun little guy that makes science fun. I really enjoyed it! Its a fresh and intresting take on evaporation.

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent; Entertaining and Educational!!!, September 25, 1999
By A Customer
This review is from: The Raindrops' Adventure (Paperback)
Kimberly Kerr has found a wonderful way of taking a difficult subject for children to understand, and turning it into a fun-to-read and look at book!! The rhyming verse holds the childrens interest and the illustrations are captivating!!! My seven year old says "It's a neat way to learn about how the rain goes up in the air." I plan on showing the book to my children's teachers as a possible tool in the classroom. I encourage any elementary level school teacher to take a look. Overall, a great book for home and school.

5.0 out of 5 stars Well illustrated and fun way to learn about rain., September 23, 1999

This review is from: The Raindrops' Adventure (Paperback)
The outstanding illustrations in this book is sure to hold the attention of even the youngest children. The author has taken an otherwise dull suject and made it bright and fun for the kids.

This book is an excellent combination of entertainment and education. The story is an educational experience. The illustration is an experience in the arts for the kids. The verse presentation of the story is an experience in poetry.

Bright and fun, but educational what more could you want?

5.0 out of 5 stars Lovely illustrations highlight this story of the rain cycle., September 22, 1999

This review is from: The Raindrops' Adventure (Paperback)
Filled with gorgeous illustrations that delightfully tell the story of a little raindrops' adventure through his life cycle, Ms. Kerr has put together a work that will captivate young children with its pictures and inform older children in a convincing format. The rhyming verse is cleverly done, and anyone would find it hard to resist the smiling little drops as they move through each of the seasons. The activity pages are great for lots of fun on trips or rainy days. The book itself has a great coloring page built in for those little ones who just have to take a crayon to a book! I found the colors of the illustrations to be remarkably clear, and the pictures look very life-like, to the point where you can almost touch the fur on the animals. While very young children might not remember a word like "refraction," they will probably remember how colorfully its meaning is portrayed! I was very impressed with the quality of this book from a first time author, and look forward to whatever Ms. Kerr produces for us next. This would make a nice gift for an elementary teacher, and of course, it would be a nice addition to any child's library at home.

This review is from: The Raindrops' Adventure (Paperback)
The illustrations and context of the book are written so beautifully. The children will want to know what happens next. You actually learn about the adventure of the raindrop. I especially loved the way Kim illustrates through the 4 seasons. If you don't own this book ... YOU SHOULD!

5.0 out of 5 stars BUY THIS BOOK - IT'S A VISUAL AND LEARNING FEAST!, April 7, 2000
By A Customer
This review is from: The Raindrops' Adventure (Paperback)
Each of Kim Kerr's richly detailed illustrations should be hanging in an art gallery. In addition, her story clearly illustrates through pictures and words the genesis and life cycle of rain. My five year old daughter and I thoroughly enjoyed this bright and educational book. It should be on the book shelf in every school and public library.

5.0 out of 5 stars Colorful and EXCITING!, September 26, 1999
By A Customer
This review is from: The Raindrops' Adventure (Paperback)
The book is both colorful and exciting. I enjoyed the book almost as much as my seven year old daughter. The book is filled with paintings that are a wonderful combination of Illustrations and reality. The detail in the animals was so realistic that I can only imagine the amount of time that it took to paint these pages. We met the Author, Illustrator of this book at a book signing at my daughters school. She was as bright and cheerful as her book. I wish her much success.
