This memoir touched me in so many ways. I laughed, I cried, and at times I paused and smiled to myself as I related to so many of Pier Bradshaw's touching moments. I lost my father to cancer and experienced some of the same emotions as I struggled with having to say goodbye. This book will minister to your soul and you will examine your life and relationships. I'm learning to listen to my children and look into their eyes when they are speaking to me and to tell them how much I love them each day. I am purchasing this book for my mom and best friend for mothers day. Thanks Ms. Bradshaw for the inspiration to be the best Mom to my children.

Bradshaw has expertly written a story of her mother's terminal illness woven with themes of family support and developing spirituality.
Although a truly personal story, the author draws you in to the memoir as her own since of spirituality is developed.

Although dealing with a dark subject it is at the same time uplifting.

Pier Angeli Bradshaw tells the story of her mother's battle with breast cancer. Anyone who has watched a loved one go through a terminal illness can identify with this story. It is also the story of how the author reacted to all of the phases of her mother's illness and aftermath of her mother's death. I lost my own father in 2006 after a long illness and that is what I most connected with in the story. Many of my reactions to my father's illness and ultimate death were the same as the author's reactions to her mother's illness and death. It was comforting to know that I am not the only one who had these same feelings. The story also includes life lessons that she learned through her mother's illness and Biblical scriptures. I would highly recommend this book.

Raindrops is a special book. I bought it when it first came out, but waited several weeks before I actually read it. I knew I would need time to fully appreciate what the author, Pier Angeli Bradshaw, went through as she watched her mother go through her struggle with breast cancer. As I read the accounts of the medical, relational and spiritual roads that were traveled, I developed a new appreciation for how precious life is and the comfort that family and friends can be during difficult times. Writer Bradshaw shares her insights and spiritual applications throughout the book, evoking smiles and tears along the way. This poignant memoir is a must read for anyone who is currently caring for or has experienced caring for a loved one with a terminal illness.

Raindrops by Pier Angeli Bradshaw was a very emotional read for me. I really connected with the story because I was there when we got the news that my Grandma had cancer and I was there for every moment until she passed. I related so well to almost every word in the book and it took me awhile to get through it because of how emotional it was for me and how easily it took me back to the memories of the battle we went through with my Grandmother. By the end of the book I felt better about the entire situation and the book, even though it reopened old wounds, had a way of closing them back up again. I loved the use of scripture throughout and how personal the book was. I would definitely read more from this author.

This was a wonderful story of one's love and compassion for another. I could relate to this story because I too cared for a mother who was ill for a very long time. I could not put this book down. I finished it in two days because I had to stop to do other things. I recommend this book to anyone with a heart. I truly loved the fact that the author referenced scriptures throughout. I thank God for this author. She shared her journey of her mother during such a private time, i.e. the cloudy days of hearing the news, living with the news, the Calm before the Storm, letting go, life afterwards and finally moving on. I'm sure everyone who takes the time to open this book will love it.
