Kalpa Maca has been cultivated for 2000 years in the Andes of Peru, Maca is a nutritious tuber that contains minerals, fatty acids, essential aminoacids, and protein. To the Incas, Maca was sacred food given to warriors as a source of Kalpa or strength. Today, it is taken by men and women of the Andes as a nutritious dietary supplement to promote normal functioning of the body. Kalpa Maca contains pure peruvian Maca and nothing else. Kalpa Maca liquid extract is concentrated to provide strength, ease of digestion, and rapid assimilation. Maca (Lepidium Meyenii) stimulates the endocrine system to stay in balance and reach the hormonal balance the body needs. The alkaloids of the Maca root act on the hypothalamus and the pituitary gland which secrete luteinizing hormones and follicle stimulants, and stimulates the production of sperm and semen and the maturation of the ovum. It also stimulates the ovaries and other glands to produce estrogen hormones. In preliminary studies, an increase of estrogen was observed, as well as an increase in semen count. Maca also calms depressive states and can alleviate hot flashes that occur during menopause or menstrual cycles. This is believed to be caused by the alkaloid stimulation of the suprarenal glands, which regulate the secretion of hormones that affect the heart rate, blood pressure, and other activities related to the nervous system, which give an overall sensation of vitality, energy and stamina.
