About the Author
Art Wolfe is one of the most celebrated nature photographers living in the United States today. His acclaimed photography is featured frequently in periodicals including Life, National Geographic, Outdoor Photographer, Audubon, and Smithsonian. Among his many books are the award-winning Light on the Land and Migrations, as well as The Art of Photographing Nature, Wild Cats of the World, and Tribes. He won the 1998 Photographer of the Year award from the North American Nature Photography Association.
Sir Ghillean Prance has been the director of the Royal Botanical Gardens at Kew since 1988. He is the author of thirteen books including Extinction Is Forever, The Earth Under Threat, and Out of the Amazon. He holds eight honorary doctorates and has received the International COSMOS Prize. In 1993 he was elected a Fellow of the Royal Society and in July 1995 he was knighted. He lives in England.
George B. Schaller, the director of science for the Wildlife Conservation Society in New York, is the author of a dozen books including The Year of the Gorilla, The Serengeti Lion, Stones of Silence, and The Last Panda. He is currently working with Tibetan and Chinese scientists to create the first survey ever of wildlife on the Tibetan plateau.

The son of commercial artists, Wolfe was born on September 13, 1951 in Seattle and still calls the city home. He graduated from the University of Washington with Bachelor's degrees in fine arts and art education; in 1999 he was named to the UW Alumni Association's magazine list of 100 "most famous, fascinating and influential" alumni of the 20th century. Wolfe spends nearly nine months a year traveling, carefully researching the locations as well as pre-visualizing the photographs he wants to take. He is an Honorary Fellow of the Royal Photographic Society, a Fellow of the International League of Conservation Photographers and serves on the advisory boards for the Nature's Best Foundation and Bridges to Understanding. He donates performances and work to environmental and educational groups every year; his lecture series is also in demand for corporate conventions and trade shows. Wolfe maintains his gallery, stock agency, production company and digital photography school in the SODO district of Seattle.

Art Wolf knows quite well when and where to boast these rare places, animals, and plants that live in. His representation style is unequal to any other works, particularly in clear views, which express the theme he wants to convey in detailed natural views. It looks like hand made artistic works. Art Wolf has high skills and capabilities in views production. His views are wonderful and have natural beauty, which makes you feel, taste, and sees natural elegance and expressive views as we have seen in his previous works. The text and photo are complementary to each other. Both seek to achieve one goal- to save the area from surrounding danger as depicted in Wolfs work. Generally it is a wonderful book indeed by art Wolf. It makes us astonished by its expressive and moving pictures. He allows us see the photos from any angles to get different impression. This book is recommended for those who love unique natural world and high standards photos
