Not worth purchasing,
By K.B. "K. B." (MI) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Rains Musical Massage : Nature's Ensemble, The Essence of Relaxation (Audio CD)
Not worth buying. I recently purchased this CD. The unfortunate part was I had to wing it because there was no sample available. The rain sounds wonderful but then your good feeling turns to a bad one. The sax just doesn't work in nature. It actually sounds like this individual could be a reject that got booted out of jazz camp. Trust me this isn't music, this is annoying. Don't waste your money.

It's Raining Saxophones,
This review is from: Rains Musical Massage : Nature's Ensemble, The Essence of Relaxation (Audio CD)
I got this CD with the hope that it would be calming music to create visuals conducive to relaxation for the cool-down segment of my Pilates class. Rather, it made me feel as though I was in a bar drinking while the hole in the roof was rhythmically dripping rain water on my head.
And, to boot, that poor blues saxophone that got caught in a noisy torrent of thunderous rain.

Relaxing in the rain (sort of),
By Eric S. Kim (Southern California) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Rains Musical Massage : Nature's Ensemble, The Essence of Relaxation (Audio CD)
This is basically a collaboration of music and nature. The sounds of saxophone, keyboards, and synthesizers blend with the sounds of rain (both light and heavy) and thunder. It's pretty soothing to the ear, but I do wish that the music (which is only twenty minutes long) didn't repeat twice. The music basically repeats itself throughout the entire sixty minutes of the CD, probably because the producers couldn't find anything else to go with. I always stop the CD at the 20-minute mark because I don't want to listen the same thing over again. Still, the music is nice.

If you like nature sounds and jazz, this is a good CD to have on in the background.
