Editorial Reviews

Kid Vid Interactive Videos combine the entertainment of TV with the fun of participation learning. It's as simple as popping a cassette into your VCR. Whter it's shaping letters of the alphabet on the TV screen, "follow-the-bouncing-ball" sing-alongs, or reading words to favorite stories as they appear on the screen, Kid Vid Video cassettes are designed so kids will participate as they watch. It's a totally new concept in pre-recorded entertainment for kids from Kid Stuff - the #1 entertainment company for kids.

A Kid's Review
This review is from: Rainy Day Finger Play & Fun Songs (VHS Tape)
I've known this whole video by heart ever since I had watched it a million times as a baby. I think my whole family wound up memorizing it, too. It was one of the first videos I watched in my life and it introduced me to the concept of karaoke and following the bouncing ball. The video opens with a still image of nine characters on the screen, including a spider, a horse, etc. In fact, the whole thing is nothing but cartoon stills with the constant presence of the white ball bouncing over the words to the songs on the screen. The songs are as follows: Bingo; The Eency Weency Spider; Clap Hands; Where Is Thumbkin?; I'm a Little Teapot; The Wheels of the Bus + This Is the Church; She'll be Comin' Round the Mountain. For some strange reason, some copies of this tape are in SP mode while others are in LP or SLP, but it won't matter to little ones anyway. Also, we once had to replace our first copy of the tape because it was recorded over by accident (probably the oddest mistake I've ever heard of, since the protect tab should have been removed and wasn't). Aside from that, I happen to have made so many other copies of this video for this generation's tykes so that they could enjoy it like I did at their age. Look for a copy while you still can and you won't be disappointed.
