rainy days revisited, November 12, 2007
This review is from: Rainy Days (Audio CD)
This is really a great release;rainy days is good,a earlier version of
souvenirs.I prefer the first s/t version better due to it's more polished.
wild also crazy are good songs. My wife justed loves just a friend, which
is a ballad it's very emotional and sung with passion.I thought this is
better than a letter to god-more melodic and raw at times, but worth
getting.$50 dollars might be steep,if you can find it at a reasonable
price I suggest you get it.

A Great Album That Never Was, January 31, 2009
This review is from: Rainy Days (Audio CD)
RAINY DAYS is the unreleased xyz album "written, performed and recorded in 1984-1985." It's too damn bad that Warner Bros' never realized what they had... If this album had been released back in the day, xyz might have gotten some of the fame and fortune they deserved.
Regardless, they are still one of the great Melodic Metal bands of all time. RAINY DAYS is far better than most debut albums, including those from Dokken, Ratt and too many others to mention. This album is right up there with their debut disc and HUNGRY. Lead guitarist Bobby Piper really shreds and Terry Ilous vocals are amazing. RAINY DAYS opens with a pair of great rockers, Wild and Crazy. The Rainy Days ballad is a classic. Other stand-out tracks are Where Did We Go Wrong, You Belong To Me and Lonely Without You. Highly recommended for metalheads and xyz fans!
It's a hard album to find, but worth the search. And price. Get yours before they disappear.
