Product Description
This is a completely natural recording --- no effects save for the warm sound of a glorious Fazioli grand piano in a beautiful wood-paneled hall on a rainy summer afternoon in Wengen, Switzerland.

For those who already have "Live At Montreux" (OMCD1201), be advised --- this is the "introvert" side to Montreux's "extrovert" side. Here are some piano reflections, some jazz standards, some blues staples, and some intense originals. This is all piano soli with no vocals. And it's the best-ever quality of piano sound to be recorded.

High above the misty heights, in full view of the Jungfrau, stands a wonderful gingerbread Schlssli (little castle), built by Love for a loved one. Good friends and the ambiance of this special place are the inspiration for this record. Its played directly to you, where your heart is.

Dedicated to the Cova Family and the Hotel Falken in Wengen, Switzerland.

5.0 out of 5 stars Moody Sunday Afternoon Music, November 25, 2000
By A Customer
Somewhat jazzy, a touch of blues, pure acoustic piano. Very few (if any) piano recordings can touch "Rainy Summer" in terms of quality and artistry. From inspired standards like "Misty" to the very touching original "Hanka", every single track on this album testifies to a highly gifted musician.
